by Arizonans for the U.S. Constitution and Recal Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at 10:51 AM

Recall petitions target Arpaio, Thomas

An effort has begun to remove Maricopa County's two top law-enforcement officials: Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas.

A group named Arizonans for the U.S. Constitution and Recall of Joe Arpaio must collect 283,300 valid signatures from registered county voters to put the question of recalling the sheriff on a future ballot. A group called Arizonans for the U.S. Constitution and Recall of Andrew Thomas must collect 252,039 valid signatures.

If the organizations succeed and turn in the signatures by Feb. 26, the questions would likely appear on the November 2008 ballot, said Kristi Passarelli, campaign-finance and jurisdictional manager for the county's election department.

The group filed the forms Oct. 29 and listed, "Disobeying and violating the United States Constitution and abuse of power," as grounds.

"We figured the two of them are very wrong," said William Crum of El Mirage. He is upset the Sheriff's Office has overspent and said Arpaio should not enforce immigration laws.

Thomas had no comment on the effort, said spokesman Barnett Lotstein. Arpaio isn't concerned about the recall attempt because his poll numbers are high, he said, reflecting the public's satisfaction with his performance.

Arpaio supporters your violence and intimidation will no longer work !

by Leonard Clark chair of the recall Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at 2:03 AM
leonardclark385@hotmail.com 623-206-2039 Beautiful state of Arizona, trying to re-join the Unites States

Hello to the readers of Indy Media and thank you for keeping the First Amendment Alive. Here in Arizona, we know what it's like to lose it to thugs and Bush lovers who beat their chests and crow about how tough they are on crime.
I have another piece of interesting information to report on the ongoing saga of our great patriot and Jay Edgar Hoover Wannabe Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

As you may know the citizens of Arizona have had enough and are now officially seeking to recall Joe Arpaio and his taliban buddy Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas.
Both men love to have newspaper editors arrested down here in good ol' Arizona when they write negative things about them so it follows that the writers of the Arizona Republic Newspaper had better be ready for that "knock on the door" in the middle of the night after Joe Arpaio reads the poll they conducted which was in their paper yesterday:
the Arizona Republic Newspaper Nov. 16, 2007 page B-4
Frday's poll results:
Question: A group is trying to launch a recall of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas. Would you support such a recall?
Yes, 64 percent
No, 33 percent
Yes, but I only support calling one of them, 3 percent.
Total votes:423

Well, well, well. It seems our vaunted sheriff who likes to make disparaging comments about his political opponents and have them arrested is not so popular after all.
Oh yeah, we know that his fanatical supporters will rear their ugly heads with their threats as they have already done against myself and anyone who signs the petitions but we will no longer be intimidated in our beautiful grand canyon state of Arizona anymore, even if these two thugs and their followers send out their death squads.
Can anyone spell Blackwater ?
Long Live the Republic !
Long Live the Constitution!

Hey Leonard Clark

by Texas Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at 6:57 PM

Hello Leonard -- I hope you are successful in your efforts to get Joe Arpaio kicked out of his job in Arizona.

That could make him available on the job market.

Over here in Texas we need a guy like Joe to run our state prison system and especially death row. If you can get him freed up we'll definitely hire him. The guy is awesome!

attention to detail

by Rusty Nail Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at 8:39 AM

Lenny 'ol Boy,

Please correct the contact information listed here. This happens to be my work phone at Wells Fargo Bank. Please rectify this issue soon before my employer is forced to seek restitution.
Oh, back on topic. I have been a neighbor and support of Joe's for years. I could care less if he ever took cash, the crime rate is low. Better than a crooked politician that doesn't perform. Do you have any facts, figres , or evidence of these crimes? Do you know what this will cost taxpayers to oust anyone from office. Just vote your will.

Le Cirque de Joe Arpeio?

by Jayster Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at 7:53 PM

That tent prison and the pink underweared inmates make me think its sort of like Arizona's version of the Cirque de Soleil! Of Course Joe Arpeio thinks he's the Ring Master but he's looking more and more like the Head Clown!
Who knows maybe Sherriff Joe thought he could make a positive contribution to law and order in that state but unfortunately "Theatre" no matter how slap stick or bizarre has little or no detering effect on people's underlying and unquenched desires and motives.

Get Arpaio out!

by martha Thursday, Apr. 03, 2008 at 10:51 AM
iselammeza@hotmail.com

This man is targeting a community, ethnic background. Many of us are hard working citizens of this state and nation. It is no longer about illegal immigration because then we would see other nationalities being targeted. Instead, it is about racial profiling. We cannot allow this man to continue in office and bully and discredit a sector of our community. Our country is and will continue to be composed of different ethnic backgrounds. Hitler is dead and his ideology should be too. No room for you in this state Arpaio

Anybody want him

by William Crum Monday, Jul. 07, 2008 at 4:28 AM
delawarewc@yahoo.com 602-300-8851

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I offer you the Sheriff of Maricopa County if anyone wants him. He profiles (so they say), he destroyed the county insurance, he costed the county over forty million dollars, and he said he is accountable to no one. You want him, you can have him because we don't want him any more. Joe got to go for the sake of the children and the state. Please, someone offer him another job anywhere but here.
