DONDE: La esquina de 4th y Main St., Santa Ana, CA POR: Alianza para los Derechos de los Inmigrantes en el Condado de Orange (OC-AIR) COMMUNIQUE DE SOLIDARIDAD CON Y EXPERIENCIA EN EL CAMPAMENTO CONTRA LAS FRONTERAS: Los miembros de la alianza para los derechos de inmigrantes en el condado de Orange (OC-AIR) así como nuevos amigos que atendieron al CAMPAMENTO CONTRA LAS FRONTERAS se reunieron el lunes por la noche para discutir nuestra respuesta inmediata de solidaridad para los manifestantes no-violentos que fueron enfrentados con violencia, armas químicas, y brutalidad durante la marcha cierre de el CAMPAMENTO CONTRA LAS FRONTERAS este domingo en Calexico. Unimos juntos para avisar a nuestra comunidad, a nuestros amigos y familia, y los medios de que lo qué ocurrió en el primer E.E.U.U./México CAMPAMENTO CONTRA FRONTERAS encendió algo en todos nosotros que ya no puede volver a reposar; que EL CAMPO CONTRA LAS FRONTERAS y los que participaron ahora han creado algo más grande de loa que sabemos contener; Que los sueños de ser uno son más fuertes ahora que nunca, y la brutalidad, violencia y represión que derrotaron la patrulla fronteriza de los ESTADOS UNIDOS en los manifestantes de los ESTADOS UNIDOS ahora todos nos permite alcanzar a ver de lo que el inmigrante tiene que enfrentarse cada día de estas mismas tropas. Este día final de acción que ocurrió en ambos lados de esta división fantasía entre los Estados Unidos y México sirvió como quizás un día raro por cualquiera de nuestros gobiernos decir que había más libertad de expresión en México que en E.E.U.U. Los hermanos y las hermanas no-violentos a quienes les dispararon desde cerca la patrulla fronteriza de los ESTADOS UNIDOS múltiples veces con balas de gas pimienta son los héroes de hoy, con la violencia marcando el aniversario de 18 años de la gente valiente y valerosa que también dijo ¡ya basta! en alemania de 1989 por derribar la pared de Berlín. La gente que fue tratada con violencia y represión innecesaria el domingo tiene nuestra solidaridad completa, y pedimos a la comunidad y los medios para representen justamente no solo su historia de lo qué les sucedió el domingo, pero también de lo qué los trajo allí para empezar, o porqué optamos por crear este CAMPO CONTRA LAS FRONTERAS. OC-AIR y nuestra comunidad y amigos colectivos planeamos organizar una conferencia de prensa al estilo del teatro de calle en las calles del centro de Santa Ana, para presentar un video y exposición de di positivas proyectada en la pared, que documentan los eventos del CAMPO CONTRA LAS FRONTERAS, identifican su relación a nuestra lucha aquí contra las deportaciones y redadas de la migra, y anuncian nuestra solidaridad con los que fueron tratado con violencia y represión por la patrulla fronteriza de los ESTADOS UNIDOS. Varios testigos presencials es también asistirán para compartir sus cuentas de lo qué ocurrió. OC-AIR will announce our solidarity with and experiences in the NO BORDERS CAMP, and demand justice for the protesters attacked by the Migra during the close of the camp; We will also disiplay photos and videos from the Camp and the repression. Statement taken from Emergency Meeting, Monday 11/12/07, 7pm, Santa Ana Members of Orange County Alliance for Immigrants Rights as well as new friends also from Orange County who attended the No Borders Camp met Monday night to discuss our immediate response of solidarity for the non-violent protesters who were met with violence, chemical weapons, and brutality during the NO BORDER CAMP's closing march on Sunday in Calexico. We unite together to let our community, our friends and family, and the media know that what happened at the first ever U.S / Mexico NO BORDERS CAMP ignited something in all of us that can no longer go back to rest; that the NO BORDERS CAMP and those who took part have now created something larger than we know how to contain; That the dreams of being one are now stronger than ever, and the brutality, violence and repression that the U.S. Border Patrol beat down on U.S. protesters enables us all to now see a glimpse of what the immigrant has to face everyday from these same troops. This final day of action that took place on both sides of this make believe division between United States and Mexico served as perhaps a rare day for either of our governments to say that there was more freedom of speech in Mexico than in the U.S. The non-violent brothers and sisters who the U.S. Border Patrol shot at with close range multiple times with pepper spray bullets are today's heroes, with their violence marking the 18 year anniversary of those brave and courageous people who also said Enough! in 1989's Germany by breaking down the Berlin Wall. The people who were met with unnecessary violence and repression on Sunday have our complete solidarity,and we call on our community and media to fairly represent not only their story of what happened to them on Sunday, but of what brought them there to begin with, or why we choose to create this NO BORDERS CAMP. OC-AIR and our collective friends and community plan to host a press conference street-theater style on the streets of downtown Santa Ana hosting a video and slide show projected on a wall documenting the events of the NO BORDERS CAMP, identifying its relationship to our struggles here locally against deportations and ICE raids, and announcing our solidarity with those who were met with violence and repression by U.S. Border Patrol.
