Is it event relevent any more?

by Fredric L. Rice Thursday, Nov. 01, 2007 at 9:52 AM
frice@skeptictank.orf

Is that scumbag event relevent any more? Wasn't he tied up with financial fraud allegations and missing money and, as I remember, domestic abuse charges or something? Or am I thinking of Turner?

Neo-Nazis at Baldwin Park

by Fredric L. Rice Thursday, Nov. 01, 2007 at 9:55 AM
frice@skeptictank.org

When are these people going to return to Baldwin Park to prance about complaining about the local art? }:-} They said they would destroy the local art no matter what it takes and yet for some very curious reason all the local artwork is still standing.

Maybe they couldn't find the place again after having their head handed to them by the local community three times.

Founder and President of Minuteman Project, Inc.

by Jim Gilchrist - Founder, The Minuteman Projec Friday, Nov. 02, 2007 at 3:28 AM
century21minuteman@sbcglobal.net

Dear faculty and student body of CSULB,

Thank you very much for inviting the Minuteman Project to speak at your esteemed university. I am honored to be able to speak to an audience of some of the most mature and intelligent minds in the California University system.

I look forward to presenting you with information about the issues relevant to the current chaotic U.S. illegal immigration situation.

The Minuteman Project supports immigration policy that promotes an orderly queue of a presribed number of legal immigrants, with vocational skills necessary to continue our nation's prosperity, and with the character and integrity necessary to continue our nation as a civilized nation under the rule of law.

Please join us Tuesday, November 13 at 12:00 o'clock on the CSULB campus for a day of enlightenment about issues relevant to a responsible immigration policy.

Jim Gilchrist, President and Founder of the Minuteman Project, Inc.

Freedom of Speech

by Zorro Friday, Nov. 02, 2007 at 5:36 AM

If Columbia can have the terrorist President of Iran speak at their University, then the founder of the Minuteman Project has every right to speak *anywhere* in these United States. The efforts of the liberal left to silence Jim Gilchrist show that these people do not value the freedom of speech and freedom of thought that this country is founded on and perhaps they would be more comfortable living in Communist China or Cuba instead.

Also at Columbia no one went up to Gilchrist to yank the microphone away from him. A group of people stood on a stage with a banner and some people cheered them. Yes it was an interruption but not an attempt to silence anyone who was speaking. The Minuteman members who responded physically were the ones who caused the commotion, not the protesters at Columbia.

i value freedom of speech

by ch Friday, Nov. 02, 2007 at 11:09 AM

I also value freedom of expression, which are integral parts of the US constitution. That's why when someone is presenting ideas based on Colonialism and White-Supremacy, which they're entitled to, I counter by making an effort to express how racist that individual is.

Of course Gilchrist can express his ideas, that constitution gives him that right. But you cannot expect for people to accept them blindly. The Minutemen are not a racist organization, but the ideas they promote and defend are, which makes them no different from the KKK.

Gilchrist

by Long Beach Resident Friday, Nov. 02, 2007 at 2:59 PM

If Gilchrist is against freeloaders living off the people's tax money, he should be coming here to denounce the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, oil companies drilling for oil in the Port of Long Beach,
and cruise ship companies that have the Long Beach City Council in their back pockets.

ch you make a good point and I'm not discounting anything you say, but from my view being a human being is what gives us a right to free speech first, before being an American or having the Constitution or whatever. To me someone's citizenship or where they are has no effect on their right to free speech.

In some other places in the world, some people aren't able to speak so freely. But as humans they still have that right. It's just that that right has been interfered with.

I acknowledge the Constitution as a nice doctrine or document for what it's worth. Not taking anything from it at all. But people have a right of speech, Constitution or not.

That btw has always been my stance on freedom of speech for as long as I can remember. Even in childhood I remember being taught in school about the Constitution and other documents but always regarded them as fancy documents and sets of rules for the sake of organizing a country. I always knew that people have a right to free speech regardless of these documents.

The Constitution

It's a nice document for what it's worth with the fancy writing and I like the pretty yellow paper. I think we'd be just fine without it. But I'm not knocking it at all.

I didn't make the post entitled "The Constitution".

I didn't type this: "It's a nice document for what it's worth with the fancy writing and I like the pretty yellow paper. I think we'd be just fine without it. But I'm not knocking it at all."

I always entitle my posts "reply"

The citizens of America

> The efforts of the liberal left to silence Jim Gilchrist

Woops! The rightard seem to think that this mythical "liberal left" of his some how both exists and that they're some how denying neo-Nazis their Constitutional rights. Nope on both accounts.

The PEOPLE of the United States shouted down a monster, exercising their own Constitutionally guarenteed rights in a Democratic forum. White Supremacists and other scumbags are perfectly free to spew their hatred and bigotry anywhere they wish however they are NOT guarenteed any forum free from American rebuttles to their spew.

Such people are perfectly free to spew their hatred in their Christian churches, for example, without their intellectual and moral superiors shouting them down and denouncing their hate.

My opinions only and only my opinions.

interesting tactics of division

by such talk Tuesday, Nov. 06, 2007 at 8:20 AM

Are you individuals finished throwing stuff at 'each other'?
The content of discussion has arrived at its inevitable end point.
Name calling instead of topic analysis.
The problem/solution is not borders or border enforcement but economic castration and the repossession of this nation's industrial base in the face of a Wallmart and Costco majority of morons.
All organizations worthy of resistance like unions and public scrutiny have been compromised or confused.
This is a prime example.

CSULB Campus Progressives

by Jameson Wednesday, Nov. 07, 2007 at 12:56 AM
jameson.nyeholt@gmail.com

Yes, students at CSULB are organizing an event. Particularly the CSULB Campus Progressives Collective, we have known about this event for sometime, and are hoping to make an impact. This is difficult however, due to the apathetic people that we have on campus.

Gilchrist was original invited by Jason Aula, the founder of CSULB's Conservative Student Union. Just email me if you have any questions about the event.

What Hate is He Spreading

by ulas Wednesday, Nov. 07, 2007 at 8:15 AM

So what hate is Jim spreading? That illegals are overrunning our country. That isn't hate, it's truth. Since most of the illegals are from mexico, race has nothing to do with it either. Your whole damn argument is nothing but a lie, but of course the truth never got in the way of progressive pieces of shit.

One more thing Jim. If you wanted mature and intelligent people to come at that school you need to step down from the podium, because all you get is displaced hillbillies and paraniod wack jobs slobbering on themselves wondering if the aliens are beaming thoughts out of their head because they forgot their tin foil hats.

So answer the question freddie ole boy. What hate is he spreading? The issue is that a bunch of fascist progressive morons are trying to squash free speech. I love these boards, you all scream about diversity and inclusion, but here you are trying to silence someone you don't agree with. Free speech for me, but not for you. Crawl back under your rock now fred, the show is over, you are fired.

Keep in mind that 'Commentary' is published by the American Jewish Committee (see the excerpt below from Kevin MacDonald's 'Thinking about Neoconservatism' article):

http://www.vdare.com/macdonald/030918_neoconservatism.htm

In all of the Jewish intellectual and political movements I studied, there is a strong Jewish identity among the core figures. All center on charismatic Jewish leaders—people such as Boas, Trotsky and Freud— who are revered as messianic, god-like figures.

Neoconservatism’s key founders trace their intellectual ancestry to the “New York Intellectuals,” a group that originated as followers of Trotskyite theoretician Max Schactman in the 1930s and centered around influential journals like Partisan Review and Commentary (which is in fact published by the American Jewish Committee). In the case of neoconservatives, their early identity as radical leftist disciples shifted as there began to be evidence of anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union. Key figures in leading them out of the political left were philosopher Sidney Hook and Elliot Cohen, editor of Commentary. Such men as Hook, Irving Kristol, Norman Podhoretz, Nathan Glazer and Seymour Martin Lipset, were deeply concerned about anti-Semitism and other Jewish issues. Many of them worked closely with Jewish activist organizations. After the 1950s, they became increasingly disenchanted with leftism. Their overriding concern was the welfare of Israel.
