Right Attitude and Right Conduct : A talk by His Eminence Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche

The Los Angeles Shambhala Meditation Center will present a public talk by Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche, known as a highly realized being in the Buddhist community, or a Tulku. The eminent lama will explore the question, “We are all trying to do the right thing, but how do we know what’s really right? “

“The Buddha taught that there is no absolute set of rules for right and wrong,” says Rinpoche. “Instead, people have the opportunity to pay closer attention to the consequences of our actions, thoughts and words. Through the clarity born in meditation, people learn what to accept and what to reject.”
His Eminence Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche is a master in the Zurmang (Surmang) Karma Kagyü lineage, with which the Shambhala community shares a close connection. The current and previous Gharwang Rinpoches have been instrumental in preserving and promoting the lineage of the Zurmang Kagyü in Tibet and around the world.
The Shambhala Meditation Center of Los Angeles offers practice and study in the lineage of Shambhala Buddhism. It is part of Shambhala International, an international community of urban meditation and rural retreat centers founded by the Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and now led by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The web site for more information is http://la.shambhala.org.
