Labor Support Rally
Tuesday, September 25
The International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America (SPFPA) stands strong for Security Officers working for Walden Security at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. SPFPA members are the first line of defense in the nation’s war on terrorism, and effectively provide security at all levels of our society.
On Tuesday, September 25th, at 10:00 a.m., SPFPA International President, David L. Hickey, is sponsoring a Labor Rally, at the headquarters of CDC facility in Atlanta, located at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia. Special support speakers will include
Congressman John Lewis or designee, Senator Nan Grogan Orrock, Senator Vincent D. Fort, along with Representative Stan Watson, and support from the AFL-CIO, Teamsters, the Church Community, City Community and Friends of Labor.
There is outstanding support to send a strong message to Mike Walden that it is time to recognize the important role that SPFPA members, Security Officers at CDC, play in the success of his company and in the protection of the Nation. Walden’s failure to bargain in good faith and to negotiate the improvements in wages and benefits for these officers is unacceptable and must stop.
The SPFPA continues its fight for justice, parity, and a fair contract for our Security Officers in Atlanta. President Hickey personally invites you to stop by and join this “historic” Labor Rally. Our mission is right, our message is clear, and our commitment to the Walden Security Officers who work at CDC will not waiver.
Please Note: Our Dispute does Not involve CDC
