For the last several months, the 99 Cents Store in Highland Park (and likely 99 Cents Stores throughout Southern California) has been selling a toy with the words “Never Forget” and an American flag next to an Iraqi flag . The toy itself is of a U.S. Soldier, which seems to be floating in liquid (perhaps an attempt at some kind of snow globe effect).
The store is well-stocked with these items, which are easy to spot among the impulse buys at the check-outs.
It's not enough that adults think Iraq was involved in 9/11--now children do, too.
