Musical Nukes

Boom?

Musical Nukes

Things a nation at war never does:

  1. Announce the location of misplaced nuclear weapons.

  2. Announce the date of a command-wide stand down of the Air Combat Command (September 14, for those who find this interesting).

Since before the last congressional elections, Cheney and his “dark side” companions have been threatening a “terror strike” that will make 9/11 look like a pick nick. How many times have we heard that its just a matter of time before someone nukes us? The primary problem with such threats is that any viable nuclear weapons will not come from the basement of some mad scientist member of “al-Qaeda”. Nuclear weapons are not easy to make. After all, Iran, we are told, has been at it for years and they don't have any nukes yet. Iran is much larger, better financed, and better connected than “al-Qaeda”, so if Iran hasn't pulled it off yet, you can be damned sure that “al-Qaeda” hasn't either.

Any nuke used as a vehicle of terror within the United States (or anywhere in the world for that matter), would need to come from the government of one of the countries in the nuclear club. That weapon would need to be transported to the United States – undetected. That, of course, could not happen without the complicity of US Customs or some agency of the US Government that was not required to submit its cargo to US Customs.

There is one exception. That exception is the same exception that applied to the source of the anthrax used in attacks against opponents of Bush shortly after the attacks of 9/11. That anthrax came from Fort Detrick, a U.S. Military base (Before the anthrax attacks occurred, the White House staff was already on CIPRO). Likewise, any “terrorist” nuclear attack on the U.S. will use nuclear weapons belongs to the U.S. Military.

Well, how would the “terrorists” come into possession of these nuclear weapons, activate them, bring them to their destinations, and detonate them? That would require the U.S. Military as well. Therefore, if an attack using nuclear weapons were to occur within the U.S., it could only happen if the U.S. Military participated in the attack. First the inside terrorists would need to move nuclear weapons to a location where they were not supposed to be. That would need to happen under the cover of some other event. For example, it could be done under the cover of some event that requires their launch or transport vehicle to carry weapons from one place to another. A perfect ruse would be to transport missiles destined for decommission with their nuclear warheads in place. Such an event would only be revealed if someone learned of the ruse and informed the press. Naturally, informing the press of such an event would be illegal since the location of these weapons is secret. Nevertheless, this is exactly what appears to have happened on August 30th.

Now, this is bad enough, but now the U.S. Air Command wants everyone to know that they will be standing down on September 14th to review this matter. During a war they will stand down? During a war that will stand down and LET THE WHOLE PLANET know it? This is very strange indeed. It has been alleged that there was an air defense stand down order on 9/11.

All of this may add up to mere coincidence, but we've seen enough strangeness since Bush took office to keep an eye open at all times.
