In response to numerous, malicious attempts to circumvent and discredit the Board of Directors of LA Entertainment Works, Inc. regarding the Los Angeles Music Awards.

In brief, Al Bowman, the founder and producer of the Los Angeles Music Awards for the past 16 years, entered into a legally binding and upholding CA agreement to formally structure the award show into a corporation. The majority shareholder became Al Bowman, taking the position of founder / marketing / Director; Ken Hollowell the next majority shareholder, positioned as CEO and Chairman; Jim DeCicco as President / Director and Marcus Barcroft as COO / Director as the remaining minority shareholders.

The year progressed to where we are now, Al Bowman attempting to shut down the website illegally and neglect agreements he signed, not taking into consideration the artists that have submitted their music in the hopes of gaining career moving recognition.

As a result, Ken Hollowell, Jim DeCicco and Marcus Barcroft have sought legal counsel to counter Al Bowman’s illegal activities and protect the submitting and performing artists, including their sponsors. We are trusting the matter will be appropriately resolved well before the event this November, and want to assure any and all submitting artists that this year’s event is moving forward with full force, including extensive media attention.
