Greetings!
I have the plesure to inform you of the unexpected presence of Sophia von Wrangell at Moondance this year who will present her acclaimed course in Dramaturgy of Film.
Sophia-Louise von Wrangell (AKA Luisa Roger, AKA Luisa Fernanda Espindola) is an award winning screenwriter and film director, a script and film doctor, and a passionate teacher. Since 1983 she wrote 21 screenplays for produced feature films awarded, among others, the German Silver Bear (Berlinale 97), the Prize of the German Critique, and the NY Times Critic's Pick. Sophia produced and directed 11 short films, (Maria, Re-encuentros).
Sophia’s course in Dramaturgy of Film has its roots in the Aristotlean “Poetics” and has evolved to encourage the development of Cinema as its own genre.
At Moondance, On Saturday the 8th at 1pm, Sophia will show the basics of film visualization in the eternal present, and guide her students as they structure a 10 minute film. Space is limited.
