Captain Eric May, the Internet intellegence writer, gives an insightful geopolitical summary, giving full consideration to the prospect of a summer World War Three. He continues his investigative work on "Noble Resolve," the nuclear excercise centered on Portland. He examines a parallel, equally perilous incedent in Texas City, Texas a year an a half ago, which nearly resulted in a nuclear false flag attack.

911-2B: American Nightmare & Neocon Fantasy

I don't know whether Stu Bykofsky, neocon columnist for Philadelphia Daily News, has been reading my last four weekend columns, warning of a Bush administration false flag 911-2B attack this summer, but in his August 9 rendering, "To save America, we need another 9/11," he makes it clear that such an attack would suit him just fine:

"America's fabric is pulling apart like a cheap sweater. What would sew us back together? Another 9/11 attack... It will take another attack on the homeland to quell the chattering of chipmunks and to restore America's righteous rage and singular purpose to prevail."

His thoughts are hardly novel. They are a variant of a July 9, 2004 column by Washington Post quasi-Nazi Charles Krauthammer, the neocon Dr. Strangelove. In "Blixful Amnesia," Krauthammer lambasted UN weapons inspector Hans Blix, French 9/11 investigator Thierry Meyssan, filmmaker Michael Moore and Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney for thought crimes as simple as lefty paranoia, or as awful as conspiracy theory. By failing to follow through on the Global War, and forgetting the post-9/11 reality, they were setting us up to be struck again:

"There is no gradualness and there are no countermeasures to a dozen nuclear warheads detonating simultaneously in U.S. cities."

Strategic Overview: The Winds of World War

The word is out among our power elite that Bush will nuke proto-nuclear Iran as a favor to mega-nuclear Israel and the all-powerful U.S. Jewish Lobby before he leaves office after the 2008 elections. There's no time like the present, though, and as our "unitary executive" crawls into Crawford, nursing the wounds of a sub-30 approval rating and increasing defections among his Republican elite, he still has cause to celebrate his war presidency.

The Congress and the courts have assented to and allowed a shocking expansion of his powers. Since May they have been silent about the ominous National Security Presidential Directive 51, which allows him to establish dictatorial powers in the event of a catastrophe like Katrina or 911-2B. Last summer Congress passed his Military Commissions Act giving him the power to overturn habeas corpus and torture citizens -- something even the original King George couldn't do. This summer before leaving for vacation, Congress granted him power to engage in warrant-less domestic spying. Under intense pressure from AIPAC, they have left intact the War Powers Act, thereby tacitly assenting to an attack against Iran. Worst of all, they have forsaken impeachment, the only way available to straighten out this most crooked of administrations, which is now beginning to hint that it might just take a draft to continue to wage the Global War.

To most of the American people, spoon fed their "reality" by a neocon mass media, the bulked up executive branch seems to be merely a case of government protection against diabolical terrorists. The rest of the world, though, sees it differently. To them it looks like mobilization by a predatory -- many say "fascist" -- United States, which is hell-bent on stifling domestic dissent while conquering and controlling the Middle East, with the help of its war partners the U.K, and Israel.

As in physics, so in geopolitics: our actions have brought about unsettling reactions.

Russia, whose president Vladimir Putin likens our policies to those of the Nazis, has recently resumed Cold War strategic bomber overflights of non-Russian territory. Notably, they have ventured near to our strategic air base in Guam, where the U.S. Air Force is practicing B-1 and B-2 bombing missions for strikes on Iran. China has joined its voice to Russia's in calling for us to leave Iran alone, and they have joined their troops to Russian troops in an ongoing military exercise intended to show us they mean business.

Israel has been preparing for a summer war with Syria as an attempt to compensate for their humiliating failure last summer against Lebanon. Syria and Iran are in various stages of mobilization against Israel, and the United States, which they consider its puppet. All sides agree that we are one spark away from World War Three, and as shown above, the neocon side is hoping it will happen.

It may happen in Portland...

The Portland Nuke

If ever a military exercise was meant to cause unrest, it would be Noble Resolve, an August 20-24 command post exercise with its headquarters in Virginia, which entails a simulated nuclear strike on Portland. In recent weeks, military officials involved in Noble Resolve have promised answers -- then failed to deliver. Through Internet sources I have learned that various Oregon state agencies are involved in Noble Resolve through an outpost in the state capitol of Salem -- but national authorities refuse to disclose which particular agencies.

Oregon National Guard sources confirm that they will be taking part in Noble Resolve, but are sketchy on just what their role may be. One anonymous source speculated that they might be practicing for the imposition of martial law in Portland. Another source relates that a dozen F-16 fighter aircraft are currently positioned in Portland's PDX airport.

Noble Resolve has been the focus of my last four columns, and anyone wanting to know as much as is publicly available should begin with my last one, August 13, Staging the Portland Nuke (A Comedy of Terrors) http://www.thepriceofliberty.org/07/08/13/may.htm To the lower right of the column they'll find links to my previous three Noble Resolve pieces.

On August 16, I gave two radio updates on the pending nuke exercise. The first, a half-hour Portland interview with KBOO journalist, Theresa Mitchell, is available online as "Capt. May interview / Noble Resolve pt. 4: Death Map" http://www.kboo.fm/node/3743 The other was a two-hour national interview with Scholars for 911 Truth founder Dr. Jim Fetzer, and is available through Genesis Communications Network (GCN).

As a result of all the attention brought to Noble Resolve by Oregonians, Portlanders, KBOO radio and Internet journalist, the hush-hush exercise will now take place with a high level of public scrutiny. That's a good thing, because the closer we come to Portland's nuclear exercise the more I am reminded of the near-miss nuke in Texas City, just south of Houston.

Texas City Treason

In late January of 2006, my Houston-area associates and I, many of us serving or veteran military or police officers, became convinced that the Bush administration and British Petroleum intended to destroy the BP, Texas City, refinery with a false flag nuclear attack. Accordingly, I began giving interviews to interested radio show hosts and journalists with the claim, deemed exorbitant by some, that Bush would use "nuclear simulation exercises" (much like Noble Resolve) based in Virginia to carry out the attack. From an economic point of view, demolition of the BP refinery -- the most polluted spot in North America -- made sense. Its owners would get rid of a white elephant, needing billions of dollars in repairs.

In the Internet community where my work was widely followed, about half considered my analysis inspired, and another half considered it insane. Events documented both by alternative and mainstream media proved my premise, though: although the Virginia-based nuke exercise made no mention of any Texas City component, it turned out that the Department of Defense had positioned a WMD team around Texas City within our target time zone, and had set up a secret operations center in nearby Galveston.

Four articles by journalist Greg Szymanski, written between January 25 and February 3, detailed and developed the false flag attempt:

Jan. 25, 2006: All Signposts Lead To Imminent Nuclear Attack In America: Intel Army Capt. Eric May Issues 'Red Alert' For Next 9 Days For Texas City-Houston Area. Capt. May claims to have broken the Illuminati and Bush Cabal's "embedded code" in an effort to beat the neocons at their own nasty game. Capt. May may have thwarted one attempted nuclear attack last July, but says the Bush Cabal is coming back again for a second try. http://www.arcticbeacon.com/articles/25-Jan-2006.html

Jan. 26, 2006: Houston PD Running Nuclear Disaster Drills As Build-Up Of Numerous Law Enforcement Agencies Seen In Nearby Texas City. Army Intel Capt. Eric May warns Bush cabal days away from a nuclear strike. Texas City resident "opens up a hornet's nest" as he warns local law enforcement about the possibility of nuclear strike. http://www.arcticbeacon.com/articles/26-Jan-2006b.html

Jan. 28, 2006: Texas City British Petroleum Claims No Foul Play In 2005 Explosion Killing 15; BP Sets Aside $1 Billion For Upgrades Amid Rumors Neocons Plan To Nuke Plant In Upcoming Days. Some Texas City citizens taking nuke warning seriously as local law enforcement build-up seen and at least 400 employees moved out of BP to different office building. http://www.arcticbeacon.com/articles/28-Jan-2006.html

Feb. 3, 2006: Texas City British Petroleum Employee Heard "Strange Abort Signal" on Local Radio Station The Morning Army Intel Officer Predicted Nuclear Strike At Plant. BP employee also said "other strange events" occurred, leaving her "nervous and on edge." Galveston Daily News follows up with story, finding WMD military support team was conducting a training session at a location near Texas City. http://www.arcticbeacon.com/articles/3-Feb-2006.html

The Galveston County Daily News had attempted to stonewall the story of our prediction and Texas City's peril (much as The Oregonian has attempted to stonewall the story of Noble Resolve), but the appearance of special nuclear forces so far confirmed our warnings that they had to write a story, albeit apologetic and deceptive, to acknowledge the bare facts, even while trying to disguise the conclusions the public had drawn from those facts. Although the Daily News withdrew and archived its poorly entitled "Nuclear attack warning story dismissed," Texas City minister Jon Watkins, a main figure in the story, cyber-published both the article and his clarifying remarks: http://www.government-propaganda.com/thank-you.html

On February 2, the same day the Daily News story ran, I posted a widely published interview with Canadian journalist Lenny Bloom, who (along with Greg Szymanski) had constantly followed and broadcast the developing story of the Texas City Treason: http://www.cloakanddagger.de/shows/_archives/_ghost/CLOAKandDAGGER_GHOST_FEB2AM.mp3
