Green Party candidate Daniel Brezenoff in August 21st CD Special Election

There is a special election next Tuesday, August 21st, to fill the vacant Congressional seat in the 37th Congressional District (Long Beach, Compton, Los Angeles), that occured when former Congressmember Juanita Millender-McDonald died unexpectedly a few months ago.

There is a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian and Green Party candidate in the race.

The excellent Green candidate is Daniel Brezenoff

Of course, Brezenoff has made opposition to the occupation/war in Iraq a central point of his campaign.

But with the Democrat in the race very likely to win by double digits, you may ask, "why bother to vote?"

With the Congressional Democrats capitulating to keep large numbers of U.S. troops in Iraq, if you live in this district, the best way to register your opposition to this policy is to cast a large Green vote in this election.
