The Anti Immigrant lobby in the U.S. Senate will focus on border first and border enforcement when the pro-immigrant lobby revived the immigration debates in the U.S. Senate this September. Several Republican led by Senator Graham, irked by the advocacy of Senator Alan Specter, John MacCain and six other senators who planned to take up the debates to pave the way for a comprehensive immigration law to be passed next year.

Los Angeles – The Anti Immigrant lobby in the U.S. Senate will focus on border first and border enforcement when the pro-immigrant lobby revived the immigration debates in the U.S. Senate this September.

Several Republican led by Senator Graham, irked by the advocacy of Senator Alan Specter, John MacCain and six other senators who planned to take up the debates to pave the way for a comprehensive immigration law to be passed next year.

Again, CNN anti-immigrant reporter Lou Dobbs in his program last night August 9, lambasted the “illegal immigrants” and attacked the idea that “illegal immigrants have the right to work in the United States.

212 Filipinos Deported From California

Meanwhile the Sanctuary Movement to protect the immigrants who have been constantly being harassed and subject to deportations is gaining grounds in many states of the country.

The CDIR reported that more than 212 Filipinos have been arrested and deported since January this year. This brought the number of Filipinos deported after 2001 by more than 4,000.

Most of the reported arrest were conducted around Orange County in California. The Filipinos are the biggest Asian groups that has been deported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Custom and Immigration Services (CIS).
