What about Ted Hayes Constitutional right to peaceably assemble and redress of grievances?....seems to me that anybody who is cheering his being stopped by a bunch of non-citizens is being very short sighted

Not sure why Ted Hayes was arrested or if he should have been. I read that he allowed himself to get arrested. I'm not sure how long SOS will tolerate him if he's into those kinds of heroics. They'll only be willing to pay for his bail a number of times, then they'll just ditch him and pretended they tried.

If it's a case where Hayes had a permit to demonstrate in the park and it was interfered, they may have a point in saying they were wronged. Thing is I think it's safe to assume that the LAPD tried to accommodate and get them to the park as per their permit. We'll see if Hayes and the rest will at least be thankful for that.
Or maybe the Minutemen don't have the LAPD in their back pocket afterall. :P
Fortunately physical violence didn't break out and that's more important. So SOS didn't get the park this time, so what.

I'm not sure if they were there or not. If not, maybe there's a certain reason why they're not at this particular march...
On one hand, it wouldn't have hurt to just let the Minutemen have the freaking park for one day. It's not gonna do anything for the Minutemen anyways. On the other hand, there are people who oppose them so strongly, they have no issue with blocking them like that and maybe there is some to be understood from that stance. If a large gathering of people in defense of NAMBLA and in favor of pardoning registered sex offenders were to want the same thing, I'd be glad to join the crowd to block them too, permit or not.
Some people think the Minutemen are trying to take measures that are so harsh and sudden that it will be detrimental to peoples lives. If they had their way, I would agree and it would be detrimental to relations between people. The people here against immigration laws are a part of this society. That much is obvious. That's what populations of people do. They integrate and join as a society. That's one aspect to look at and RESPECT. That much is obvious.

"If they had their way, I would agree and it would be detrimental to relations between people. "
I mean if the Minutemen were to have their way. If the counter protesters had their way, well it depends on the crowd and specifics. I don't support the take down of US territory. And of course not all who oppose the Minutemen would want that anyways.
