NYC Day Care Workers Protest Mayor Bloomberg’s Union Busting
Local 1707’s day care workers demonstrated at City Hall against Mayor Bloomberg’s refusal to negotiate a contact for 7,000 day care workers. To make matters worse, the City is ignoring an arbitration decision on the termination of 600 after-school program employees after the City changed the agency that employs them. Thousands of children lost their after-school care when these employees were terminated.
