In a predictable show of political survival of the fittest, Los Angeles, CA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has endorsed Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic candidate for President in 2008.

Clinton is in Los Angeles this evening to raise a reported $700,000.00 at a dinner with Hollywood heavyweights. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson said: "I want Latino voters, not candidates" after learning that Villaraigosa would not be supporting him, the only Hispanic Presidential candidate.

Clinton called Villaraigosa: "an honest optimist and a practical visionary." CA Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez (D-Los Angles) has also endorsed Clinton. Villaraigosa will now serve as one of four national chairs in the Clinton campaign.
