Anti-war protesters converged in London on Saturday to call on Prime Minister Tony Blair to withdraw all of Britain's troops from Iraq.
They also voiced fears over a potential conflict with Iran. Around 10,000 people marched from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square.
"The first time I was here to protest, it was for Indian independence, the Brits had locked up Gandhi and the empire fell," said Tony Benn, former Labour MP.
Blair has said Britain would withdraw around 1,600 troops from Iraq over the coming months and that it aims to bring down its troop level to below 5,000 by late summer if Iraqi forces can secure the southern part of the country.
But clearly that has not amused everyone. "We won't let Blair get way with this, he should know we are watching, and how undemocratic the war was and is," said a protestor.
This is not the first time people in Britain have marched against the war.
In February 2003, weeks before the invasion, nearly two million people marched through the same streets, but back then the government ignored them.
