Criminal Empire

Move over Mafia, Cocaine cartels, Russian, Balkan, Cuban groups, Triads and numerous other criminal organisations – the U.S. State is taking over! Today, the methodologies of the American State cannot be distinguished from the methods of organised crime. The latest executions of Saddam’s cronies and the newly signed deal to allow American Oil Companies unprecedented access and open slather exploitation of Iraqi Oil reserves leave little doubt regarding the real intentions of the illegal invasion. The Washington line of spreading ‘liberty’ and ‘democracy’ will go down in history as a feeble and transparent charade. Nevertheless, America has proven that caveman tactics of brute force and mindless violence (over 655,000 dead) succeed in satisfying immediate needs. It has also become apparent that the USA is unable to see the untenability of its actions in the long term – America has failed to assess the real costs of its morally bankrupt actions!

It has become abundantly clear that the American State has jettisoned the niceties of civilised behaviour and adopted the ‘because I can’ attitude of the criminal and cavemen. The first casualties of the new American criminal empire are the principles enshrined in the American Constitution and Bill of Rights, the second are the casualties of the Iraq intervention and the third will no doubt be the new morally bankrupt, United States.

The founding principles that once formed the bedrock of American identity and attracted talented people the world over have been reduced to “pieces of paper”; to quote the President himself. Contrast the character and methods of Cheney, Rice, Perle, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and Bush with Abraham Lincoln! The cavernous divide between Lincoln and the Bush regime is the difference between day and night or one who upholds founding principles to those who would sell the soul of a nation for temporary financial gain.

Few Americans today are able to claim ignorance regarding the criminal activities of the Bush regime – with knowledge comes responsibility. In the present situation the responsibility to apprehend the criminals that would lead the nation to continuing conflict with other nations of the world lies with the American people – as has been encoded in the founding principles of the nation. Failure to act would indicate wilful complicity or acquiescence, which in turn indicts the entire population/nation.

The present American regime hopes and prays that the world will follow its primitive lead and fight at the trough of available resources – this would justify the new barbarism and position the U.S. as the most powerful warring nation. However, the nightmare for America is a world that rejects a return to the laws of the jungle and unites against the rogue nation the USA has become.

The USA is acutely aware that it faces annihilation if the world chooses moral victory over violent conflict. Present trends would indicate the overwhelming majority of nations abandoning the violent ‘solutions’ exemplified by the USA and its one ally, Israel (the Australian leader, John Howard, is inconsequential).

Regardless of propaganda or any other factors, the world remains in the hands of the people, as has always been the case. We must ALL accept the responsibility for our actions or inaction.

Peace.
