KNBC TV reporter has done a biased, one sided attack on migrant farm workers living in Mcgonigle canyon near san diego. Please respond to this report, called "The Village." (two part series)

Please view these reports and respond to Ana Garcia, her managing editor, and the president of NBC in Burbank.
Many are calling for her resignation.

Please send emails to KNBC re Ana Garcia's recent
> hit job against immigrant

> me, these letters do count.

Truth hurts

by michelle Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at 10:28 AM

You have got to be kidding me.! She brings the activities of the canyon to light and you call for her firing! Is it ok with you that 13 year old Latina girls are being sexually abused by these men twice a week?Yes they are getting paid but it is wrong!! These girls are sex slaves!!

Her first report was "The Fields of Shame" and it was far more graphic. It showed the brothels and sex acts (blurred). It showed how the girls were held captive. This report just showed a small glimpse of the autrocities in the canyon. What was racists? Showing the deplorable conditions they live in, how they are being used as slave labor while living in the dirt, how they are illegal, are quite often drunk? What?

The truth is sometimes hard to swallow but it must be seen. Grow up and help fix the situation rather than calling for those who brought it to light to be fired! What a joke!! Oh I forgot, when all else fails scream racism, that's right!

just one thing

Joaquin, michelle--

Red herring. You're the only ones saying anything about racism. The call to protest says only that it's "a report that fans the flames of intolerance and racial hatred against farm workers." It says nothing about the reporter being racist.

And michelle, you have a point about the prostitutes. But what have you done for the 13-year-old prostitutes in your town? What have you done about incest? Have you called out your 3-martinis-for-lunch, wine-with-dinner, 2-scotch-on-the-rocks-after-dinner, weekend-beer-guzzling neighbors for their drinking? Get over the double standards, and we'll talk.
