Los Angeles joins cities across the US in making plans for October 5.

Thursday, September 7:

Organizing Meetings at 7 pm Nation-wide

In every city where World Can’t Wait has organization, and in many cities where it doesn’t yet, people will gather simultaneously at 7pm on Thursday September 7 to get organized. They’ll hear from leaders of the movement, and meet others in their area ready to organize for a day of mass protest exactly 4 weeks later.

Los Angeles, CA

7:00 PM, Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Downstairs Conference Room

3300 Wilshire Blvd. at Berendo, just west of Vermont Ave.

Learn about World Can't Wait and help organize for a powerful and historic Oct. 5 National Day of Mass Resistance. Bring your friends, family, ideas, and energy to this major meeting. We aim to reach out and mobilize in unprecedented ways to all spheres of society.

Speaker: Rev Richard "Meri Ka Ra" Byrd--Krst Unity Center

We will make plans to unleash a wave of resistance on Oct. 5 (and beyond) with walk-outs from schools and sick-outs from work (if you're sick of the Bush regime).

Our basic idea:

Converge at Noon at Pershing Square (6th & Hill in Downtown L.A.) and outreach to garment workers, office workers, tourists, etc.

3 p.m. - Bush Crimes Tour begins and marches through the area.

5 p.m. - Rally at the Downtown Federal Building, 300 N. Los Angeles St.

Spread the word!
