STU - Soon to be murdered by Los Angeles Animal Services
A year ago, an injured dog ("Stu") delivered a minor bite and some scratches to his babysitter, who then complained to Animal Control and tried to sue the owner.
The Commission held a hearing, and it was determined that the dog was not dangerous, but rather had reacted defensively because of pain.
Guerdon Stuckey, LAAS (Los Angeles Animal Services) General Manager at the time, overrode the examiner's findings, pronounced the dog dangerous, and order him killed.
The owner filed a lawsuit, so the execution was stayed.
It's been a year, and LAAS - under direction of current GM Ed Boks - is set to kill Stu. (We believe it is to take place next week.)

SALIENT POINTS FROM HEARING TRANSCRIPT
The examiner found Stu not dangerous. Guerdon Stuckey overrode that finding.
The alleged victim of the bite had no medical records to document the severity of the attack. In fact, photos showed a minor bite and some scratches.
She claimed that the dog dragged her across the room three times! The examiner even suggested that she was not telling the truth. She obviously was hoping to get some money from a lawsuit.
The dog had been wounded in a fight with another dog owned by the same man. Just like human siblings, they had a spat. Stu's ear was torn.
He was in pain, and he reacted defensively to the woman's approach. It was figured that she probably slipped a harness over his head and inadvertently allowed it to rub on or pull his injured ear.
Stu has never attacked anyone before or since. It is obvious that he reacted because of pain. The "victim" was aware that it is not wise to approach an injured animal - but chose to do so, anyway.
