Stewart Alexander is continuing his street campaign to become the next California Lieutenant Governor visiting the cities of San Francisco, Fresno and Oakland. He is reaching thousands wherever he goes with a simple and brief message; “Stop the war and bring the troops home now.” Within the past two months the street campaign has given Alexander the opportunity to make a visible presence to over a half million Californians statewide.

Alexander Visits Fresno, S.F. Bay Area

Stewart A. Alexander
2006 Candidate
California Lieutenant Governor
Peace and Freedom Party

It may seem out of the ordinary to find a candidate for California lieutenant governor promoting the campaign, for the second highest office in state government, on a street corner, but there is nothing ordinary about Stewart Alexander; he is the Peace and Freedom Party Candidate for California Lieutenant Governor, and he has made a commitment to win.

Stewart Alexander was in the Central Valley and the San Francisco area campaigning, reaching ten’s of thousands, and attending the statewide convention of the Peace and Freedom Party in San Francisco. He is reaching people with a very simple message on two sign, “I Need Your Vote November 2006 Stewart Alexander California Lieutenant Governor” and a second sign reading, “Vote November 2006 Stewart Alexander California Lieutenant Governor.”

He is hitting the streets wherever he stops and it has generated much excitement. Frequently he is greeted with a smile and there are many thumbs up, waves and horns honking. People stop just to shake his hand and sometimes just to meet him; and frequently people will ask to take his photograph.

Many individuals take the time to express their concerns and their dissatisfaction with state government and are quick to mention their dissatisfaction with the state’s leadership. The prevailing concerns for everyone appear to be the Iraq War, affordable health care, affordable housing and the economy. Immigration is also a hot issue and everyone is quick to offer their opinions.

Recently Alexander has been campaigning in opposition to all of the Propositions on the upcoming November ballot. Alexander says, “They all sound good and have good wording, however they all lack substance.”

Alexander is also rejecting all of the Bonds on the November ballot because he says, “There is no accountability built in for appropriations. Californians will be lucky if they get one tenth of what they are paying for with these bonds.”

Alexander has been very critical of the leadership in Sacramento and the governor and often refers to both parties as a one party system. “I am not certain whether this one party system in Sacramento should be identified as Democrat or Republican; however their politics are the same, spend, spend, spend, with no accountability,” says Alexander.

People throughout the state sometimes find it strange that the Peace and Freedom Party, and Stewart Alexander, are opposed to the politics of tax and spend and today many voters can now see this is the ongoing practice of the Democrats and Republicans in Sacramento.

Within the next few days Alexander will be campaigning in the Southern California area. The General Election is coming up November 7, 2006.
