The Dreaded H-Word

The Dreaded H-Word
by Anonymous

Even if the Zionists could prove everything they say about the Holocaust with more than just inconsistent “eye-witness” reports, the Holocaust in no way, shape or form justifies the ethnic-cleansing, apartheid, anti-democratic, terrorist rogue Jewish state of Israel’s crimes against humanity in the Middle East.

While some Jewish individuals and organization whine about what Mel Gibson said in a drunken rant, these same Jewish individuals and organizations put forth racist, war-mongering, pro-Israel propaganda every day in our US media, and support the NeoConservative agenda of endless war on behalf of Israel’s security and racist imperialistic ambitions.

Many of us non-Jews believe that these war-mongering Jews and their non-Jewish lackeys such as Bush and Cheney owe the non-Zionist American people and non-Jewish Middle Eastern people a big hug apology with a major change of behavior to show sincerity.

The US needs to divorce itself at once from the racist, apartheid, ethnic-cleansing, Jewish supremacist state of Israel.

Death in Lebanon

by Jankalow Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006 at 8:40 AM

CAIRO — Thousands of unexploded bomblets left over by Israeli forces in South Lebanon have turned the area into virtual minefields, causing many civilian deaths, even after the end of the Israeli war.

"The war may be over, but we’re still living in a war," Suad el-Miri told The New York Times Saturday, August 19 .

"People think it’s over, but there are still so many bombs around that our lives and our children’s lives remain at risk," she added while watching over her niece at the intensive care ward at Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre.

Her niece, Marwa,10 , and Sekneh,12 , were critically injured when a bomblet left over by Israeli forces in south Lebanon blew up at them in the town of Aita al-Shaab.

"It looked like a little can; it was interesting," recalled Marwa while moaning in pain at the hospital.

Thousands of bomblets spewed from cluster bombs packed into Israeli artillery shells are still littering South Lebanon.

The deadly leftovers have even continued to kill more Lebanese civilians after a UN-brokered truce took into effect to end the Israeli onslaught in Lebanon.

Just hours after the truce took into effect early Monday, August14 , a Lebanese civilian was killed and six others wounded when Israeli cluster bombs exploded in the southern village of Ansar.

Two people were also killed in Kafr Rumman and Masaydoun, according to the Mines Advisory Group, a British-based nongovernmental organization.

In the town of Haboush, two children were killed when they uncovered a bomblet.

An elderly woman was further seriously wounded when she set off a bomblet while sweeping inside her home.

Israel acknowledges that it dropped cluster bombs during the Lebanon war.

The cluster bombs, many made by the United States, are designed to penetrate thick armor as well as to kill or maim enemy soldiers within several yards.

The bombs release small bomblets in midair, expected to fall to the ground and explode on impact across a wide area.

Human Rights Watch has called on the Bush administration to reject an Israeli request for the delivery of cluster munitions to use in its relentless offensive in Lebanon.

"Humanitarian Nightmare"

The Israeli bomblets have even brought efforts to rebuild the country and to revive the Lebanese economy after the month-long Israeli offensive to a halt.

"People can’t go into their banana plantations because they are scared of unexploded ordnance," said David Shearer, the United Nations humanitarian coordinator in southern Lebanon.

The dreaded "H" word is Homelessness

by Becky Johnson Monday, Aug. 21, 2006 at 11:18 AM
Santa Cruz, CA.

WENDY CAMPBELL ( the anonymous poster of the above cartoon) has got it all wrong.

The "H" word that politicians and govt. officials never want to say is Homelessness. So many of our fellow citizens are living on the streets in some of the wealthiest areas of America, and no one is doing anything about it.

In the town I live in, Santa Cruz, Ca., we have between 1,500 and 2,000 homeless people in a city with a pop. of 54,000.

And we are a wealthy community.

Wendy Campbell could care less about the plight of homeless Americans. But a homeless Palestinian...

Wendy believes that invoking the memory of the systematic genocide of 6 million Jews---along with Roma, the mentally ill, gays, and, yes, homeless people is somehow a crime.

The only current relevance the Nazi holocaust has is to remind people the reason that the United Nations passed UN resolution 181 which partitioned what was left of Palestine into a Jewish State and an Islamic state.

And to use it as a warning should another entity arise which believes its okay to genocide an entire people.

Never Again! should apply to all and not just to the Jews.

Campbell likes to invoke Nazi imagery more frequently than most Jews---however she prefers to do it as an insult to the Jewish people.

I also disagree with her premise that if Jews simply say the word "holocaust" any person with a gripe against Israel is put in their place. I don't see this phenomenon occurring locally or abroad. If anything, I see people like Campbell who think its perfectly acceptable to compare Jews and Israel to Hitler and Nazi Germany.

A comparison that is false, hurtful, painful, and malicious towards the people whose family members were consumed in the Nazi ovens.

Israel used cluster munitions in their terror campaign on Lebanon

by Gabe Gershom Monday, Aug. 21, 2006 at 2:31 PM

HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH
Israeli Cluster Munitions Hit Civilians in Lebanon
Israel Must Not Use Indiscriminate Weapons

(Beirut, July 24, 2006) – Israel has used artillery-fired cluster munitions in populated areas of Lebanon, Human Rights Watch said today. Researchers on the ground in Lebanon confirmed that a cluster munitions attack on the village of Blida on July 19 killed one and wounded at least 12 civilians, including seven children. Human Rights Watch researchers also photographed cluster munitions in the arsenal of Israeli artillery teams on the Israel-Lebanon border.
“Cluster munitions are unacceptably inaccurate and unreliable weapons when used around civilians,” said Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch. “They should never be used in populated areas.”

According to eyewitnesses and survivors of the attack interviewed by Human Rights Watch, Israel fired several artillery-fired cluster munitions at Blida around 3 p.m. on July 19. The witnesses described how the artillery shells dropped hundreds of cluster submunitions on the village. They clearly described the submunitions as smaller projectiles that emerged from their larger shells.

The cluster attack killed 60-year-old Maryam Ibrahim inside her home. At least two submunitions from the attack entered the basement that the Ali family was using as a shelter, wounding 12 persons, including seven children. Ahmed Ali, a 45-year-old taxi driver and head of the family, lost both legs from injuries caused by the cluster munitions. Five of his children were wounded: Mira, 16; Fatima, 12; ‘Ali, 10; Aya, 3; and `Ola, 1. His wife Akram Ibrahim, 35, and his mother-in-law `Ola Musa, 80, were also wounded. Four relatives, all German-Lebanese dual nationals sheltering with the family, were wounded as well: Mohammed Ibrahim, 45; his wife Fatima, 40; and their children ‘Ali, 16, and Rula, 13.

Human Rights Watch researchers photographed artillery-delivered cluster munitions among the arsenal of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) artillery teams stationed on the Israeli-Lebanese border during a research visit on July 23. The photographs show M483A1 Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions, which are U.S.-produced and -supplied, artillery-delivered cluster munitions. The photographs contain the distinctive marks of such cluster munitions, including a diamond-shaped stamp, and a shape that is longer than ordinary artillery, according to a retired IDF commander who asked not to be identified.

The M483A1 artillery shells deliver 88 cluster submunitions per shell, and have an unacceptably high failure rate (dud rate) of 14 percent, leaving behind a serious unexploded ordnance problem that will further endanger civilians. The commander said that the IDF’s operations manual warns soldiers that the use of such cluster munitions creates dangerous minefields due to the high dud rate.

Lebanese security forces, who to date have not engaged in the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, also accused Israel of using cluster munitions in its attacks on Blida and other Lebanese border villages. These sources also indicated they have evidence that Israel used cluster munitions earlier this year during fighting with Hezbollah around the contested Shebaa Farms area. Human Rights Watch is continuing to investigate these additional allegations.

Human Rights Watch believes that the use of cluster munitions in populated areas may violate the prohibition on indiscriminate attacks contained in international humanitarian law. The wide dispersal pattern of their submunitions makes it very difficult to avoid civilian casualties if civilians are in the area. Moreover, because of their high failure rate, cluster munitions leave large numbers of hazardous, explosive duds that injure and kill civilians even after the attack is over. Human Rights Watch believes that cluster munitions should never be used, even away from civilians, unless their dud rate is less than 1 percent.

Human Rights Watch conducted detailed analyses of the U.S. military’s use of cluster bombs in the 1999 Yugoslavia war, the 2001-2002 Afghanistan war, and the 2003 Iraq war. Human Rights Watch research established that the use of cluster munitions in populated areas in Iraq caused more civilian casualties than any other factor in the U.S.-led coalition’s conduct of major military operations in March and April 2003, killing and wounding more than 1,000 Iraqi civilians. Roughly a quarter of the 500 civilian deaths caused by NATO bombing in the 1999 Yugoslavia war were also due to cluster munitions.

“Our research in Iraq and Kosovo shows that cluster munitions cannot be used in populated areas without huge loss of civilian life,” Roth said. “Israel must stop using cluster bombs in Lebanon at once.”

Human Rights Watch called upon the Israel Defense Forces to immediately cease the use of indiscriminate weapons like cluster munitions in Lebanon.

Background

Israel used cluster munitions in Lebanon in 1978 and in the 1980s. At that time, the United States placed restrictions on their use and then a moratorium on the transfer of cluster munitions to Israel out of concern for civilian casualties. Those weapons used more than two decades ago continue to affect Lebanon.

Israel has in its arsenal cluster munitions delivered by aircraft, artillery and rockets. Israel is a major producer and exporter of cluster munitions, primarily artillery projectiles and rockets containing M85 DPICM (Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munition) submunitions. Israeli Military Industries, an Israeli government-owned weapons manufacturer, has reportedly produced more than 60 million M85 DPICM submunitions. Israel also produces at least six different types of air-dropped cluster bombs, and has imported from the United States M26 rockets for its Multiple Launch Rocket Systems.

There is growing international momentum to stop the use of cluster munitions. Belgium became the first country to ban cluster munitions in February 2006, and Norway announced a moratorium on the weapon in June 2006. Cluster munitions are increasingly the focus of discussion at the meetings of the Convention on Conventional Weapons, with ever more states calling for a new international instrument dealing with cluster munitions.

10 REAONS WHY ISRAEL LOST (and it *STILL* doesn't have its captured soldiers back!):

by All *HAIL* the 'VAUNTED' Israeli military!! Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006 at 3:18 PM

ISRAEL'S STATED OBJECTIVES:

1. the _ORIGINAL_ stated objective: get back their two soldiers from Hezbollah (captured in Lebanese territory at that) through military action.

ISRAEL LOST

2. alienate Hezbollah from the majority of other Lebanese.

ISRAEL LOST

3. by targeting and bombing Lebanese civilians and destroying Lebanon's civilian infrastructure, to get the Lebanese to force Hezbollah to give up.

ISRAEL LOST

(by the way, I thought that Israel, the U.S., the West said that the targeting of civilians or civilian infrastructure for the purpose of forcing a politcal goal is defined as "terrorism".)

4. destroy Hezbollah's weapons.

ISRAEL LOST

(some of Hezbollah's largest retaliatory rocket barrages were on the last days of the war and Hezbollah stood fast in combat against the IDF, inflicting serious casualties and even tank losses, 'till the end/cease-fire.)

5. defeat and destroy Hezbollah.

ISRAEL LOST

6. push and occupy Lebanon to the Litani River (no doubt in an attempt to then annex all of south Lebanon as part of Israel, like Israel has with the Golan heights).

ISRAEL LOST

7. increase/sustain its vaunted military credibility (to intimidate others) in the region

ISRAEL LOST

(Now the region, and the world, knows that Israel is only good at attacking defenseless women and children, stone-throwing boys, and fairly unarmed Palestinian men.)

8. gonna teach Hezbollah a lesson

ISRAEL LOST

(no, Hezbollah taught _Israel_ a lesson.)

9. have the people of the world on their side.

ISRAEL LOST -- BIG TIME!

(People all over the world were demonstrating against Israel!)

10. Israel met _NONE_ of its military objectives in its war on Lebanon.

Was Israel better off or worse off than before its invasion?

WORSE.

And Israel ***STILL*** doesn't have its 2 captured IDF soldiers back.

"Why Israel lost": a not so objective and truthful analysis

by All *hail* the 'vaunted' Hizbollah!! Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006 at 3:25 PM

1. the _ORIGINAL_ stated objective: get back their two soldiers from Hezbollah through military action.

ISRAEL LOST -- TRUE.

"[The] two [Israeli] soldiers [were] captured in Lebanese territory at that" -- A TRANSPARENT LIE. They were captured within Israel in a cross border raid.

2. alienate Hezbollah from other Lebanese.

ISRAEL LOST -- TRUE, but this was not a stated or planned goal.

3. by targeting and bombing Lebanese civilians and destroying Lebanon's civilian infrastructure, to get the Lebanese to force Hezbollah to give up.

This is a LIE. ISRAEL DID NOT TARGET AND BOMB NON-COMBATANT LEBANESE CIVILIANS, NOR DID IT DESTROY MOST OF THE LEBANESE INFRASTRUCTURE.

4. destroy Hezbollah's weapons.

ISRAEL LOST - TRUE, Hizbollah has managed to retain most of its arsenal, though this wasn't a stated nor planned goal of Israel.

5. defeat and destroy Hezbollah.

ISRAEL LOST -- TRUE, though this wasn't a stated nor planned goal of Israel.

6. "push and occupy Lebanon to the Litani River (no doubt in an attempt to then annex all of south Lebanon as part of Israel, like Israel has with the Golan heights). "

ISRAEL LOST -- A BOLD FACE LIE, these were never stated goals nor planned goals.

7. increase/sustain its vaunted military credibility (to intimidate others) in the region

ISRAEL LOST -- WRONG. Israel has resurrected *some* of its military detterence. Now, unlike in the pre-war situation, Hizballah at least will think a bit about the consequences before trying to conduct cross border raids into Israel or firing missiles on Israeli territory.

"(Now the region, and the world, knows that Israel is only good at attacking defenseless women and children, stone-throwing boys, and fairly unarmed Palestinian men.) "

Keep saying whatever helps you remain an apologist for arch-racist Islamofascism and genocide as you kid yourself your moral compass is in order.

8. "have the people of the world on their side. "

This was never a stated goals nor a planned goal. It was hoped to be achieved as secondery or concurrent gain as the skirmishes raged.

"Was Israel better off or worse off than before its invasion? "

WORSE -- this is probably true.

Expect an upcoming political earthquake in Israel in the next months. Don't be astounded if Ehud Olmert, defense minister Amir Peretz and Chief of Staff Dan Halutz are forced out of office.

WORLWIDE Protests Against Israel in Lebanon:
by Israel: a crime against humanity Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at 6:26 PM

And so few people showed up- 300 in San Diego, 2,000 in San Diego, 500 in New York- in many locations, the counterprotests were larger!

Sf's ANSWER described their rally a the biggest in America- and it left them 22K in the hole.

If it weren't for 25 buses from Michigan, the DC event would have been a no-show as well.

Support fro Hizzbollah isn't as widespread as you'd have us think.

No the case. I can speak for San Francisco, because I was there. We had a beautiful mix of people of all colors and ethnic origins, and sexual orientations. Quite polyglot.
Perhaps most moving were the Asian tourists who stumbled into the protest, and who slipped me a twenty dollar bill, asking me to make sure it got to Israel somehow.

No surprise

by TW Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 5:45 AM

"Israeli refuseniks who said that they *HATE* the 'brave'-talking *CHICKENHAWK* Zionists in the U.S. that have never fought in a war."

No surprise there. They're a subset of Americans, none of whom have EVER witnessed the hell-spawned monster that is a modern mechanized army devouring our homes, families, communities, societies, which makes us pretty demented about it all. US ziopaths make political hay of the travails of past generations of Jews as if they too were present as victims, but this is obviously not the same.

By contrast, the trauma Russia experienced within living memory was staggering. The 'Plain of Mars' outside Leningrad is a grid of mass graves, 600 bodies per square, that stretches to the horizon. Russians to this day react to the prospect of war with mortal terror. No American can relate to this, which means Russians are sane in a way we're not. It makes this country's role in the Cold War all the more merciless.

Perhaps if Americans identified in this way with the experience of average Iraqis over the past 15 years, and then looked anew at this government's plainly sociopathic reasons for doing all that, they could muster the will to do the right thing -- force this government to cease and desist -- and in this way validate everything they claim about themselves.

It doesn't seem like the same can be said of US ziopaths. Their received conditioned hatred for Arabs is too pure. No matter what you revealed to them about the current Palestinian experience or how you revealed it -- even if you could immerse them 24-7 in their day-to-day experience -- I don't think they'd ever turn the eye of justice back on themselves, living their soft lives over here on the other side of the planet. They're the most merciless and morally insane Americans of all.

Who won?

by Becky Johnson Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 6:58 AM
Santa Cruz, CA.

I don't think anyone "won" this war. It was battled to a stalemate with much of Hezbollah's infrastructure destroyed and between 550 and 1500 Hezbollah fighters killed. (1st source is the IDF, 2nd source is a French-language Lebanese newspaper).

Hezbollah's militia has not been disarmed. The Lebanese army still does not control the southern third of their owncountry. UN forces remain a joke.

Israel suffered tremendous losses too. 6,000 Israeli homes were damaged or destroyed by Hezbollah's rockets. Tourism came to a standstill, which hurts the economies of both Israel and Lebanon.

43 civilians and 116 IDF soldiers were killed.

4,262 Israelis were wounded.
300,000 were forced to flee their homes
1 million Israelis were forced to spend more than a month in bomb shelters
one-third of the Israeli population had to live under the threat of rocket fire
estimated losses to Israel are $1.4 billion
Over 350 fires were set by Hezbollah rockets--damaging the environment where it's estimated it will take 4 decades to recover

5% of Beirut was destroyed ---all Hezbollah strongholds
and oil spill from an IDF bombing damaged Beirut's beaches
Roads and bridges were damaged or destroyed
A power plant was damaged

Between 700 and over 1,000 Lebanese were killed
(1st source: IDF 2nd source: Lebanese Red Cross)

Who lost? The civilized world lost. The economies of Israel and Lebanon lost. Families on both sides of the border lost. The environment lost. Any sense of security or safety for the Israeli and the Lebanese people has been lost.
Hopes for a peaceful mideast lost.

ON ANOTHER TOPIC:

I was a homeless advocate long before I joined Dafka.
The first article I wrote on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict was in August 2001, just days before Sept. 11th.

I began writing for Street Spirit in 1996. Since JA and Jefferey Blankfort engineered getting me fired, not a single article on homelessness in Santa Cruz had been published in Street Spirit. Good work JA and Jeff!!! You have assured that the homeless of Santa Cruz have one less voice speaking out for them.

I am also not right-wing in any way. I do not support the Bush administration and was one of the organizers of an anti-war protest in March of 2003. (google "Sex for Peace")
On right-wing issues: abortion, prayer in schools, gay marriage, the Patriot Act, the Iraq war, stem-cell research I am decidedly a leftist.

"terrorists are those who use violence against civilians in an effort to create fear&

by history buff Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 8:59 AM

For example:

See:

http://www.deiryassin.org/mas.html

(snip)

Early in the morning of Friday, April 9, 1948, commandos of the Irgun, headed by Menachem Begin, and the Stern Gang attacked Deir Yassin, a village with about 750 Palestinian residents. It was several weeks before the end of the British Mandate. The village lay outside of the area that the United Nations recommended be included in a future Jewish State. Deir Yassin had a peaceful reputation and was even said by a Jewish newspaper to have driven out some Arab militants. But it was located on high ground in the corridor between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and one plan, kept secret until years afterwards, called for it to be destroyed and the residents evacuated to make way for a small airfield that would supply the beleaguered Jewish residents of Jerusalem.

By noon over 100 people, half of them women and children, had been systematically murdered. Four commandos died at the hands of resisting Palestinians using old Mausers and muskets. Twenty-five male villagers were loaded into trucks, paraded through the Zakhron Yosef quarter in Jerusalem, and then taken to a stone quarry along the road between Givat Shaul and Deir Yassin and shot to death. The remaining residents were driven to Arab East Jerusalem.

That evening the Irgunists and the Sternists escorted a party of foreign correspondents to a house at Givat Shaul, a nearby Jewish settlement founded in 1906. Over tea and cookies they amplified the details of the operation and justified it, saying Deir Yassin had become a concentration point for Arabs, including Syrians and Iraqis, planning to attack the western suburbs of Jerusalem. They said that 25 members of the Haganah militia had reinforced the attack and claimed that an Arabic-speaking Jew had warned the villagers over a loudspeaker from an armored car. This was duly reported in The New York Times on April 10.

A final body count of 254 was reported by The New York Times on April 13, a day after they were finally buried. By then the leaders of the Haganah had distanced themselves from having participated in the attack and issued a statement denouncing the dissidents of Irgun and the Stern Gang, just as they had after the attack on the King David Hotel in July 1946. A 1987 study undertaken by Birzeit University's Center for Research and Documentation of Palestinian Society found "the numbers of those killed does not exceed 120".

The Haganah leaders admitted that the massacre "disgraced the cause of Jewish fighters and dishonored Jewish arms and the Jewish flag." They played down the fact that their militia had reinforced the terrorists' attack, even though they did not participate in the barbarism and looting during the subsequent "mopping up" operations.

They also played down the fact that, in Begin's words, "Deir Yassin was captured with the knowledge of the Haganah and with the approval of its commander" as a part of its "plan for establishing an airfield."

Ben Gurion even sent an apology to King Abdullah of Trans-Jordan. But this horrific act served the future State of Israel well. According to Begin, “Arabs throughout the country, induced to believe wild tales of ‘Irgun butchery,’ were seized with limitless panic and started to flee for their lives. This mass flight soon developed into a maddened, uncontrollable stampede. The political and economic significance of this development can hardly be overestimated.”

(snip)

Of about 144 houses, 10 were dynamited. The cemetery was later bulldozed and, like hundreds of other Palestinian villages to follow, Deir Yassin was wiped off the map. By September, Orthodox Jewish immigrants from Poland, Rumania, and Slovakia were settled there over the objections of Martin Buber, Cecil Roth and other Jewish leaders, who believed that the site of the massacre should be left uninhabited. The center of the village was renamed Givat Shaul Bet. As Jerusalem expanded, the land of Deir Yassin became part of the city and is now known simply as the area between Givat Shaul and the settlement of Har Nof on the western slopes of the mountain.

The massacre of Palestinians at Deir Yassin is one of the most significant events in 20th-century Palestinian and Israeli history. This is not because of its size or its brutality, but because it stands as the starkest early warning of a calculated depopulation of over 400 Arab villages and cities and the expulsion of over 700,000 Palestinian inhabitants to make room for survivors of the Holocaust and other Jews from the rest of the world.

Her ziopath cheering section: "Thats pretty much what the Zionists have all been saying here."

No, you maniacs aren't advocating for peace. You're advocating for unconditional support for the regional supremacy of the zionist state and its continuing exemption from all standards of international and moral law, and this after Israel has continuously proven for decades that it's the most militarized and belligerent state in that part of the world.

It's just like you liars to call this "peace" advocacy. You twist everything upside down.

The hardcore Jabotinskyites in Israel -- who totally dominate the government and always have -- aren't at all interested in peace and never have been. They're interested in one thing: a permanent state of war until the last possibility of Arab sovereign territory West of the Jordan River and north of Sinai Egypt has been demolished. That's their land; God pwomised umpteen fousand years ago. goo-goo ga-ga. And if they can keep this ball rolling from the Nile to the Euphrates, so much the better. Here lately they've made huge strides toward the Euphrates

Out of ALL the ziopaths counterprotester pictures, the Ziopaths find *ONE* single picture with four **VERY PASSIVE**, rather young Asian males (looks like the youngest, by far, in the Zio-Nazi crowd) standing on the very end of the counterprotest -- and they weren't even holding any Zio-Nazi Israeli flags or signs. They were probably just hangin' out together and walking down the sidewalk on that side, crossed the street, and slipped between the barracades and the newspaper boxes on one side on one end to see what was going on. That's a more plausible explanation for what they look like they were doing.

Yeah, they look like REAL commited Zionists, don't they?

(I bet they don't even know what Zionism is or when Israel became an imperialist European colonialist state. I bet they couldn't even tell you who the prime minister of Israel is. I bet they couldn't tell you what Kyriat Shimona is: they probably would think it's a food item at a Jewish deli. I bet they wouldn't even know what a Likudnik/Jabotinskyite is if a Likudnik government official hypothetically automatically denied them citizenship in Israel or told them that, as non-Jews, they couldn't even own/lease property or build a house there or marry a Jewish woman there. Maybe their Asian relatives are poor menial 3rd World Asian domestics -- popular in Israel now to clean Israeli kitchens and bathrooms and change diapers on Israeli babies and do other, ahem, shit work -- and you coerced them to come stand there.)

What did you offer those boys to just stand there? A kiss with a busty, cleavagey Zio-Nazi girl!? Where were they from? Togo or Guam? -- or whatever that one Pacific island country is that the U.S. strong-arms to vote with it and Israel, at those times when Israel does something so horrendous that only two other countries vote with Israel in the UN general assembly.

THE JERUSALEM POST:

IDF soldier killed by old land mine

An IDF soldier, identified as Alex Assaf, 21, from Karmiel, was killed and three others injured on Wednesday morning when a company of the Givati Brigade accidentally walked into a minefield in southern Lebanon, near Har Dov, also known as the Sheeba Farms.

A platoon commander and another soldier were listed in serious condition, and the battalion commander was in moderate condition. Several other soldiers were lightly injured.

...

This is the second soldier to be killed since the UN-brokered cease-fire took affect on August 14. The first was Lt.-Col. Emanuel Moreno, 35, of the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit. He was killed in a shoot-out with Hizbullah fighters during an Israeli commando raid in the heart of Lebanon.

Two other officers in the unit were wounded in that operation, including one seriously.

...

Another incident occurred on Monday, when an IDF soldier was seriously injured after he accidentally fell on his head in the village of Taibeh in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon.

HA'ARETZ:

IDF soldier killed, three others hurt, in South Lebanon

An Israel Defense Forces soldier was killed and three others were wounded Wednesday when a mine exploded in southern Lebanon, close to the border with Israel.

The soldier was identified on Wednesday night as Staff Sergeant Alex Assaf, 21, of Carmiel.

One of the wounded soldiers, a company commander, was in moderate-to-serious condition; a battalion commander sustained moderate wounds and another solider was lightly injured.

The incident apparently occurred when the tank in which the three were traveling ran over an old IDF mine, planted before the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000.

They are Fox journalists

by who cares? Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 12:47 PM

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip -- A previously unknown Palestinian group released the first video Wednesday of two kidnapped Fox News journalists and demanded that Muslim prisoners in U.S. jails be released within 72 hours in exchange for the men, a Palestinian news agency reported.

In the video, Steve Centanni, 60, of the San Francisco area, and cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36, of New Zealand, appeared to be in good health, seated on the floor in sweat suits against a black background. No armed men were shown.

It was the first time Centanni and Wiig have been seen since they were kidnapped Aug. 14 near the Palestinian security services headquarters in Gaza City. The video was shown to an Associated Press correspondent in Gaza and also was broadcast by Al-Jazeera.

Although Palestinian militant groups have often seized foreigners, including members of the media, this is the longest any have been held.

Nor do they advocate FOR Israel. When they picket a gathering of schoolchildren ,synagogues and charitable institutions, you can't tell me they advocate FOR Israel.
Their form 990c indicates $119,800 in compensation of officiers, directors, etc.
Nope. Not grassroots by my definition.
Anyone else you want to throw at me?

"What about Jewish Voice For Peace?"

by JA Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 4:31 PM

Actually, JVP has members who are 'liberal Zionists' critics of Israel and morally more serious anti-Zionists who believe in a re-unified secular democratic state (whatever it would be called) with equal rights for everyone regardless of religion or ethnicity. JVP doesn't take a formal organizational position on Zionism per se or require that their members be for or against it. If you are willing to work against, especially Israel's WORST atrocities/practices, you can be a member of JVP. JVP members have COMMON GOALS (like picketing and opposing Caterpillar bulldozer sales to Israel), not necessarily completely common anti-Zionist or 'liberal Zionist' politics (and JVP members are everything from liberal Democrats, to progressives, to social democrats, to Marxists, to Anarchists). I was warmly welcomed at and used to go to all their Oakland meetings until I got too busy with other stuff.

(P.S. A 'liberal Zionist' is like a 'liberal Southern Jim Crow Segregationist' would have been back before the early 1960's. The latter opposed the lynchings and torture-burnings of Black people, and Southern sheriffs siccing police dogs on little Black church girls, and the KKK bombing those Black churches -- you know, opposed the WORST atrocities -- but they actually SUPPORTED the state maintenance of rigid American segregation/apartheid itself.)

To reinforce our privyness to the sheep's stupidity

by 20 Hizbollah captives Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at 6:42 AM

Hizbollah never planned for some of their stormtroopers to fall into Israeli captivity!

"Gee, can you provide some evidence for this unrealistic pronouncement? In an armed conflict?"

You sound so fucking stupid even for your own abysmal level of intelligence. AS IF the IDF never captured enemy soldiers or guerillas in armed combat. In which gutter do they find (also ahistoric ignoramus) brains like the sheep's?
For starters _watch_ some of the captives blindfolded by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page: http://xmb.stuffucanuse.com/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=2624&page=2#pid7213. One of the Hizbullah gunmen behind the kidnapping of IDF reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev on July 12 was among the captured -- see http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1154525815342&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull (if the JPost is good anough for one ultra-leftist Jew hater you must accept its reports too unless you want us to dismiss you even today with uproarious laughter). A few of these bozo clowns were caught asleep (literally) -- http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/2211

The 2 Israeli reservists weren't in attack as they were captured. There's was a sort of recon mission.
The news, or less known fact of the last month is, that 20 Hizbullah "do gooders" were captured is what needed to be illuminated.

You provide yet more evidence for your deep seated rabid racism: blaming some Jews who negotiated with a few Nazis in order to save as many Jews as they could. The difference between Kidnapped and Captured

by Becky Johnson Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at 10:46 AM
Santa Cruz, CA.

SHEEPDOG WRITES: "The interlopers were not 'kidnapped' but captured in the course of an invasive action against another state for malicious intent. And it is unrealistic to believe taking prisoners will not occur. "

BECKY: In order to shield Hezbollah from responsibility, Sheepdog would have us believe that Hezbollah DIDN'T stage an attack, on the orders of Tehran, across the UN declared international border with Israel into sovereign Israeli territory and attack 2 Humvees, killing 3 IDF soldiers, capturing two more, and hot-footing it back across the border into Lebanese territory in the midst of Katyusha shellings of Kiryat Shmona, IDF military positions, and nearby Israeli villages.

He doesn't want you to know that when Israel sent in a tank in hot pursuit after the two kidnapped....oh, I mean CAPTURED soldiers it hit a land mine mortally injuring the 4 IDF soldiers inside. An 8th IDF soldier attempted to rescue the injured soldiers only to be hit by gunfire himself. He died the next day at the hospital.

This was the 1st IDF incursion into Lebanese territory since Israel withdrew its last soldier in 2000.

Only then did the Israeli govt order that some roads and bridges be bombed, and the runways at the airport in a vain attempt to prevent Hezbollah from taking the soldiers deeper into Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon or even worse, into Syria.

Sheepdog would have prefered that it was the Israelis who were on the wrong side of the border up to no good when the soldiers were CAPTURED.

what is the difference between kidnapped and captured?
Kidnapped means a crime has been committed. Captured means that a war has been declared and they are prisoners of war. According to the Geneva Convention, you are not allowed to hold prisoners of war hostage. And according to the laws of declared war, Israel has even MORE right to go into Lebanon and reduce and eliminate the threat posed by Hezbollah.

Sheepdog is indifferent to war crimes committed by Hezbollah, but then Sheepdog lives in an imaginary world where Hezbollah are defenders of liberty and freedom and the Israelis started the war.

"That's a vicious goosesteper anti-Zionist distortion." -- Oh yeah...?

by Zionist cooperation with anti-Semitism Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at 11:08 AM

Zio-Nazi: "You provide yet more evidence for your deep seated rabid racism: blaming some Jews who negotiated with a few Nazis in order to save as many Jews as they could."

The "some Jews" were the LEADING Zionists and founders of Israel -- and they even offered to FIGHT ON THE SIDE OF THE NAZIS! These LEADING Zionists also often worked behind the scenes to keep/inhibit many European Jewish refugees fleeing Nazism from being able to go anywhere else besides Palestine for the Zionists future state displacing the native inhabitants. The leading Zionists always themselves PUMPED/HYPED UP ANTI-SEMITISM in order to have a self-justifying excuse for the colonization of Palestine and the continued support for the state of Israel. Isn't it interesting that they decided to go to the ARAB WORLD for safety -- where they *would* have been safe (Jews in other Arab countries had been safe there) if the European Zionists hadn't decided to bum rush Palestine and take the whole place over.

But these leading Zionists were themselves right-wing, many even fascists, and being European, were themselves often RACIST against even other Europeans they deemed to be lower (even against other Jews from certain countries, like Jews from Slavic and Arab countries) and, of course, many of them were deeply racist against non-Europeans (as their conquest and progressive brutal ethnic cleansing of Palestine shows).

The leading Zionist racist scumbags have ALWAYS sought to cooperate with Nazis, other anti-Semites (like Lord Balfour who didn't want Jews on the European continent to come to England, so he was happy to send them as far away as possible), right-wing regimes, the European imperialists, then apartheid South Africa, and now their CLOSE participation with fundamentalist "Christian Zionists" (Israeli Jews even HUG these people when they come to Israel!) with their anti-Semitic "2nd Coming"/"End of Days" theology (where Judaism and the Jews would all be force convereted to fundamentalist Christianity or destroyed) in their colonization of Palestine. The ultimate SELF-HATING JEW is a ZIONIST, because they *THRIVE* on anti-Semitism.

Who won? JA won.

by Bullshit Becky Johnson Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at 11:14 AM

I was one of the organizers of an anti-war protest in March of 2003. (google "Sex for Peace") because I was hoping that my fat blubbery ass would get laid! But nobody wanted me. I literally couldn't even give it away!

On right-wing issues: abortion, prayer in schools, gay marriage, the Patriot Act, the Iraq war, stem-cell research I am decidedly a leftist. It's my COVER for my rabid right-wing Zionism and it helped me infiltrate everyone from Free Radio Santa Cruz (they kicked me out) to the American Friends Service Committe.

Even my Jewish ex-boyfriend says I have "a sick hole in my soul" and thinks I've become a Zionist nutcase. But that's why I became a hardcore shikse Zionist (it's like a crazy Christian Zionist, but for secular female nutcases): to get even with my Jewish ex-boyfriend after he broke up with me. I developed a Nazi mentality and ability to explain everything away -- only, in my case, against Palestinians.

I was a homeless advocate long before I joined Dafka, thus carefully laying my cover before I became a rabid Zionist nutcase working for Dafka and that ultimate Zionist American nutcase Lee Kaplan (now that Kahane had been shot _dead_ as a doorknob), and working to advocate the homeless_ness_ of millions of Palestinians in their _own_ homeland. But JA got my fat dum shikse ass fired from my cover at Street Spirit street newspaper!

Who won? JA won.

False Flags and Zionists

by Sheepdog Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at 2:26 PM

this bit of hyperbole from ( one of ) our zionist campers.
-THUGS WHO THRUST OLD JEWISH FOLKS ONTO THE PAVEMENT.
-
how about mossad thugs who throw wheel chair bound Jews overboard to drown?
the Achilles Lauro
users.cyberone.com.au/myers/vanunu.html
- An example is the case of the "Palestinian" attack on the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985. That was, in fact, an Israeli "black" propaganda operation to show what a deadly, cutthroat bunch the Palestinians were.

The operation worked like this: Eitan passed instructions to Radi that it was time for the Palestinians to make an attack and do something cruel, though no specifics were laid out. Radi passed orders on to Abu'l Abbas, who, to follow such orders, was receiving millions from Israeli intelligence officers posing as Sicilian dons. Abbas then gathered a team to attack the cruise ship. The team was told to make it bad, to show the world what lay in store for other unsuspecting citizens if Palestinian demands were not met. As the world knows, the group picked on an elderly American Jewish man in a wheelchair, killed him, and threw his body overboard. They made their point. But for Israel it was the best kind of anti-Palestinian propaganda.
