Looks like A.D.D. is a problem for many
here. Posts about 9/11 truth on Portland
IMC have gotten extremely scarce as of
late, which is odd considering how enormous
the 9/11 truth movement is becoming. Let's
get back to what actually matters, k? We
have enough coverage on the Middle East
crisis in the corporate media and most of the
alternative media already, in fact so much
so that it's inducing nausea from over-kill.
Anyhow...
Cspan's schedule now confirms that the L.A. panel discussion on 9/11 will be broadcast Saturday night at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST. (5 and 8 pacific time) This is the main CSpan channel, not book tv or another, less-viewed, channel (even David Ray Griffin's talk wasn't broadcast on the main CSpan channel).
Webster Tarpley has this message to the 9/11 truth movement (via email):
Dear Friends --
The Sunday panel discussion from the Alex Jones Los Angeles conference will reportedly be telecast on C-SPAN this coming Saturday evening at 8pm and 11pm eastern time.
This discussion includes Alex Jones, Professor Steven Jones, Col. Robert Bowman, Professor James Fetrzer, and myself.
The mere fact that it has been scheduled pays tribute to the growing strength of our 9/11 truth movement.
I urge you to build the maximum audience for this important event, which represents our best opportunity of counteracting the escalation of the Middle East and North Korean crises towards thermonuclear World War III, by means of a strong dose of 9/11 truth.
I call upon each of you to put aside other considerations for the next 48 hours and to mobilize all available forces to make this a turning point in world history. Let it be seen by 100,000,000 Americans, and we can turn the world back from the brink of the abyss.
Webster G. Tarpley"
Let's rally behind Webster's call to maximize viewership.

Jones is a jerk, but his research about 9/11 is worth looking at.

I agree that Alex Jones is a moron when it comes to certain issues, HOWEVER there is nobody that I'm aware of that has the balls to discuss 9/11 truth and the coming new world order-police state the way he does.
If he kept his mouth shut about certain things and ONLY talked about the NWO/911, there would be no problem with him.

The so-called 911 truth movement will never go anywhere if it depends on the pseudo-research of racist pricks like Alex Jones, who is still a slave to the immature "the masons control everything" school of idiotic conspiracy school. I have to admit that I was once a victim of that kind of b#$$shit before I learned about basic, insightful concepts like transnational capitalism, foreign policy, and other ideas that don't seem to penetrate simple-minded morons like Jones.
CSPAN is just doing the U.S. government a favor by broadcasting this mumbo jumbo so as to discredit the more legitimate research on what happend on 9/11. For a better resource will a more judicious use of facts, rather than the ranting fallacies of paranoid racists and dingbats who don't understand the relationship between political economy and the PNAC, check out "The Hidden History of 9-11-2001, edited by Paul Zarembka as part of the Research in Political Economy series out of the University of New York in Buffalo. Unfortunately, it costs a fortune on amazon.com because its currently only available in hardback (and no doubt the political economy of the truth makes it expensive to distribute), but you will see that it covers most of the territory distorted by the lunatic fringe in the 911 truth movement, but from a more progressive and fact-based perspective. Check out the counterpunch.org website for a link to the book.

Your claim makes somewhat more sense since the posting notes that David Ray Griffin's talk wasn't broadcast, whereas he has far more credibility than Jones even though he has given an interview on Jones website.

David Ray Griffin has also been on Amy Goodman's DemocracyNow! (about 2 years ago) and he was treated rather disrespectfully by Ms. Goodman. Her tone was rude, a bit condescending, and well...it's the last we've heard about 9/11 truth on her pathetic program.
As for Jones, maybe it would be a great idea to concentrate on the message rather than the messanger, otherwise we behave like the enemy. As for his claims on FreeMasonry, etc., he makes many valid points that others have corroborated.

Please, let's not through mud at a woman (and of course its easy for men to throw mud at women isn't it) who has paid her dues and backs up her words with research and facts. The 9/11 truth movement will garner her attention when it has some substance and is not just a sausage fest amongs a bunch of conspiracy nuts (pun intended).
Jones' racism is a part of his message, as can be evidenced by his website. So despite how that tired phrase goes, there are times when a f$%ked up messenger makes up for a f$%ked up message. There are better folks delivering the message, they just don't get the attention amongst the conspiracy nuts like Jones does, who has received free publicity thanks to his videos, radio show, and Richard Linklater's movies, which actually say alot about Jones given that their usually about slackers.
