Yes, the Israeli generals and their hawkish political commanders in Tel Aviv certainly have the "moral highground" here... and their murder of Canadians will certainly contribute greatly to putting an end to terrorism. What does a few shredded, blasted, and seared civilians matter when you are on a mission to stop terrorists? Anyway, those Canadians had no right to be vacationing in Lebanon without Israeli permission, so it's just too bad what happened to 'em. Yeah Israel! Go Israel! Blow up some more Canadians! And while yer at it... I hear there's some 28,000 Australians vacationing in Lebanon - you might want to blow up some of them as well before you move on to massacre the women and children of Syria.

Seven Canadians, including several members of the same Montreal family, were killed in an Israeli air strike in Lebanon on Sunday as the Canadian government stepped up plans to evacuate the estimated 40,000 Canadians stranded in the war-torn region. Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Ambra Dickie confirmed the seven deaths and said three other Canadians were injured in the attack, but declined to provide names or hometowns of the victims, citing privacy laws. Media reports out of Montreal indicated that the family members - believed to be a woman and her four children - were killed while vacationing in the village of Aitarun, about 50 kilometres south of Beirut.
During a protest by hundreds of Lebanese-Canadians in Montreal, an unidentified woman said she had just learned that two of her family members were killed in the Israeli bombardment. "My father, my uncle - they're dead!" she screamed. "What's happening?" A family member in Montreal told all-news channel LCN that Canadian Embassy officials in Lebanon did little to help his relatives evacuate. "My cousin even tried through the Internet to contact the Canadian Embassy," said Hussein El-Akhras. "But no response." Another family member said their relatives had been hiding in the basement of their home when they were killed.
The deaths occurred as the federal government began organizing evacuation plans for Canadian citizens in Lebanon while the violence in the region continues to escalate. Officials believe there are 40,000 Canadians in the country, but only 21,000 have registered with the Canadian Embassy in Beirut. Full story at:
