Khan Younis - A Palestinian pregnant woman and her brother were killed in an Israeli air raid Wednesday night that left ten others of the same of family wounded in Khan Younis to the south of the Gaza Strip.
Witnesses said that Israeli warplanes fired a missile at a car carrying Palestinian resistance fighters but the missile missed and hit a nearby building killing Fatma Al-Barbarawi and her brother Zakaria, who works as a doctor in Saudi Arabia and was visiting his sister in the Strip.
The family members were preparing to have their dinner when the missile slammed into their home, the witnesses added.
Medical sources in Nasser hospital said that among the wounded were two children not older than five years old.
IOF bombardment of various areas in the Gaza Strip and other raids on the West Bank at the pretext of targeting resistance fighters or warding off firing of missiles had killed 90 Palestinians over the past seven weeks including 40 since the start of June.
Maj. Gen. Elyezer Shkedy, the IOF commander, expressed regret for the fall of civilians but said that raids would continue!
