Print and distribute farm and wide to stand in Solidarity with the South Central Farm!
Why boycott people who had nothing to do with it?
Go after Perry directly with a recall drive or picket her at her downtown condo on Hope Street but whatever you do talk to the farmers first.
You can do more harm than good with a bad idea that conflicts with the farmers plans.
Think about it.
This is weird. How do you boycott an entire council district? There's no way to measure the impact (unless a really huge amount of money exits all at once, like a few developers exiting the region).
Also, because the farm is closed, hundreds of people are now buying more food at stores. They're redirecting they money away from non-food to food purchases, or from savings to food. This would somewhat undo a boycott (because food is one of the larger expenses for poor families).
Are all the non-SC supporters of the SC Farm, combined, spending, say, 000 a month in CD 9? Can that be withdrawn from the region in a way that Perry would notice? Because *4weeks*350familes = ,000 / month. If the farm saved those families a week, then the net impact was ,000 per month redirected toward other purchases or to savings.
