A former East Orange, N.J., police detective who fled before his conviction in a communications equipment fraud has been captured in Arizona, the Essex County prosecutor said Monday.
Detective Norman Price, who was living in Anthem, was arrested by Mesa police officers in Maricopa County on Saturday after a traffic stop.
Price, 47, was convicted in a New Jersey Superior Court on May 16 of money laundering and various other conspiracy and related counts. His wife, Natasha McRae, 35, also was convicted of money laundering, conspiracy and other counts. She remains at large.
Arrest warrants were issued after they did not appear for court in Newark.
