Today at the western regional meeting on immigration a rep from the Farm spoke - right toward the end.
As he approached the front of the room, all 300 people began clapping their hands in rythmic unison, chanting "Save - the - Farm!" "Save - the - Farm!"
It was a spontaneous and immense outpouring of love.
I was talking to one of the Farm supporters who was there, and we were joking around about functioning on no sleep - something that seems to happen to Farm supporters sometimes ;-) when suddenly he said, very seriously, they're trying to wear us down, the police, they keep circling in the helicopters - but they'e not going to wear us down...
I said right, because this isn't a movement based on anger, it's one based on love, love for the land and for the community it's gifted us with...
And exhausted as he was, having not slept in a long time, for a moment he was just radiant.
