Julia Butterfly has had to leave the farm for pre-scheduled event in Italy. After 21 days in the old walnut tree on the farm and 26 days into a water-only fast, Julia came down from the tree Saturday and broke her fast with food grown on the farm. She then had to catch the next fight for Italy where she will attend a conference on recycling and protecting the environment.

One of the farmers, Ruffina, has taken Julia's place in the tree along side Daryl Hannah and John Quigley who still continue on. Ruffina, has also begun a prayer fast in addition to her tree sit.

Willie Nelson visited the farm on Sunday and pledged the support of his organization Farm Aid in the fight to save the farm.

Also, California Senator Barbara Boxer has sent a letter to developer Ralph Horowitz urging him to accept the farmers offer to buy the land.

This weekend also saw increased number of flyovers by both LAPD and LASD helicopters. Low flyovers below the FAA allowed 500 feet are seen as harassment towards the farmers and their families. These flyovers have been well documented by CopWatch. Farmers are asking supporters to call the Sheriff Department and urge them to stop these flyovers.
