SPREAD DA' WORD!!!!! QUE CORRE LA VOZ!!!

LOCATION: MAAC Community Charter School (1385 3rd Avenue Chula Vista (just south of san diego), CA 91911)

Youth in San Diego are rising up to fight for our rights!!! We have some of the crappiest schools in the nation without enough textbooks, and with dirty bathroom facilities. Police and migra are harassing us in our communities and military recruiters are harassing us at school. The governor is cutting all of the money from education, but juvenile incarceration rates go up every minute! Its time to fight back!

This conference will address all of these issues, and what we as young people can do (and are already doing!) to fight for our lives, for our rights, for our present and for our future!!

We'll discuss topics such as Inequalities in Education, Border & Migration Issues, Organizing with Gangs, the Zapatista movement, the War on Iraq & Counter-Military Recruitment. We’ll also have workshops on how to ORGANIZE to fight for JUSTICE in our communities, and in the world.

Throughout the event we'll have entertainment such as spoken word/open mic, hip-hop, reggae, a dj, etc...

This event is organized by and for youth of color and youth from low-income communities in San Diego, but everyone is welcome!!

**Free transportation and childcare are available to people who fill out pre-registration forms or RSVP.**
