STOP REPRESSION IN SAN SALVADOR ATENCO, MEXICO
FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!
WHAT: PROTEST
WHEN: Friday, May 26, 2006 NOON
WHERE: BILTMORE HOTEL 506 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles Pershing Square
One child killed by the government's bullets. More than 200 political prisoners, others hiding in clandestinity, women political prisoners raped by police. These are the initial results of governmental repression in San Salvador Atenco, Mexico.
On May 3rd and 4th, the residents of San Salvador Atenco, Mexico were
surrounded and invaded by the Mexican governments (local, state, and federal). Their crime? Defending their ancestral homelands against an unwanted airport and for defending flower venders from the threat to their livelihood by the proposed opening of a WalMart.
But the Mexican people have not remained with their arms crossed. The Other Campaign and sub-commandante Marcos have called for national and international solidarity movilizations. Political prisoners have started a hunger strike.
Now, here in Los Angeles, Calif., a protest in Solidarity with the People of Mexico and against repression will be held on May 26, 2006.
Mexican Pres. Fox ends his presidential term with blood on his hands!
We demand:
1.) Free all Political Prisoners!!
2.) Punish those responsable for crimes against the people!
3.) Immediate withdrawal of the police and army from San Salvador Atenco!

Un niño muerto por las balas del gobierno. Mas de 210 presos politicos, otros en la clandestinidad, presas mujeres violadas por la policia. Estas son los resultados de la operacion policiaca en San Salvador Atenco, Mexico.
Los dias 3 y 4 de Mayo, el pueblo de San Salvador Atenco fue sitiada por el
gobierno Mexicano. Su crimen? Defender sus tierras ancestrales contra la imposicion de un aeropuerto no deseado y de defender a vendedores de flores, quienes ven la apertura de un WalMart como un peligro para su vida.
Pero, el pueblo Mexicano no se ha quedado con los brazos cruzados. La Otra Campaña y delegado Cero (sub-comandante Marcos) han llamado a la movilizacion de la solidaridad. EL EZLN y sus bases de apoyo estan en alerta roja.
Ahora, aqui en Los Angeles, Calif., se llama a la solidaridad con el pueblo Mexicano y contra la represion.
El Pres. Fox termina su presidencia con las manos ensangrentadas!
Exigimos:
1.) Presos Politicos Libertad!!
2.) Castigo a los responsables de los crimenes contra el pueblo!
3.) La salida inmediata de la policia y ejercito de San Salvador Atenco!
