Last year, their show “Five – No Boundaries” (VIVA Gallery, Sherman Oaks) was such a huge success that NoHo Gallery LA invited these artists to do a show for them this year. Their exhibition opens June 2 through July 1, 2006 with an Artist Reception on Sunday, June 11th from 4-8pm, and a Lecture/Book Signing Fund Raiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society featuring special guest Dr. Robert Kotler, (Dr. 90210), author of “The Essential Cosmetic Surgery Companion” on Wednesday evening, June 28th from 6-8 pm. These artists have strong bonds, forged over 15 years ago at the former Every woman's Village (Van Nuys) where they studied art together. Their distinctly different styles and approaches are linked not only by their friendship but also by the complexity and honesty found in the work of each artist. Contagious laughter, the courage to give, the willingness to share, the acceptance of change, layers that must be shed, growth that must be recognized and the freeing of the creative mind to move forward into more of their own “being” is the challenge these talented women artists have embraced together.
