Just finished speaking with Ted [Hayes]and as promised a few days ago, here are the details:
-Gathering/pep at 11am Sunday, May 21st (corner of Olympic & Broadway)
-March begins sharply at noon!
-March from noon until 2pm from corner of Olympic/Broadway to city Hall
-2pm at City Hall - speakers/rally
(For those interested immediately following the Civil Rights March, Ted invites anyone to join him to march to Roman Catholic Church near City Hall to speak with Cardinal & Bishop and for a time of prayer.)
Honored guests thus far include Jim Gilchrist, and the Minutemen!!, Rev. Jesse Peterson, and many others. Possible guests - currently being invited include John Ziegler and many others!!
Ted currently needs donations for PA Systems, flyers, etc.... Ted is also creating soundbites for me. His request is that we spread the message using the soundbites for all media including radio, tv, and print. If you would like either the soundbite or make a donation, please pm me for details.
Also I let Ted know that I have already received a good response from people not residing in LA. Ted wanted me to ask you that are interested in other locations to organize a rally/march and contact local media. You can use his name and state that you are part of the March taking place in LA. Please pm me if you have any questions.
Some of you have already contacted me in support and I will definitely be contacting you as the date draws closer. This is going to be a huge event!!! Americans are waking up!! It is time for us to march in our own country!! Ted is meeting with city officials tomorrow and has already started the planning stages. Permits have already been secured. Police have already been contacted plus Ted will have security guards at all parking lots and near the event. If any of you are or know any police officers or security guards that would like to volunteer time, please pm me as well. Ted is also requesting buses for transportation back to starting point after the march. Ted has a group of us planning different areas, so I can assure all of you that no stone will be unturned!! I will post additional information/updates later.
