The 21st Century got off to a troubling start, war, immigration issues and skyrocketing gasoline prices; now Stewart Alexander wants to get going in the fast lane, building electric cars, hydrogen SUV’s, electric rail systems, and rebuilding the region of the Inland Empire of Southern California. Alexander says the gasoline game has forced U.S. citizens to make some important decisions and now the choice is to build a better America.

For more than half of the 20th Century Southern California has seen tremendous growth and prosperity in industry, housing and commerce; however the County of San Bernardino has fallen behind the pace within the region. Now Stewart Alexander, the Peace and Freedom Candidate for Lieutenant Governor, says he wants to bring jobs and prosperity to the county.

Other neighboring counties have done well over the years; Riverside County has enjoyed the benefits of the housing boom that has brought thousands of jobs and commerce to the county. Riverside County is among the fastest growing counties in the nation.

Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties have enjoyed the benefits of world trading, the ports, and San Diego having the military bases and upscale real estate markets. However San Bernardino County, the communities east of the I15 Freeway, paints a very contrasting picture.

San Bernardino has fallen on difficult times and unemployment is in double digits in the minority communities. The area lost many good paying jobs in the early 90’s when Norton AFB was closed. In the 70’s and 80’s steel plants shut down and thousands of jobs went to Asian job markets. The lack of good paying jobs and industry has prevented any programs to develop affordable housing.

Now Alexander says he wants to bring thousands of jobs to this county, building vehicles for the 21st Century and affordable homes so people can work in the communities where they live.

Alexander wants to bring automobile manufacturing back to California; that is electric cars and hydrogen SUV’s. He also wants a Twin Rail Electric System to begin servicing Riverside County. These massive projects would bring thousands of jobs to San Bernardino and Riverside Counties and would begin changing the look of American highways.

Alexander’s plan would extend well beyond the middle of the 21st Century and would ultimately prepare America for the next 300 years. Alexander says he wants San Bernardino to be part of this vision.

In the early 70’s Stewart Alexander was an Air Force reservist at Norton AFB and he says he has always had a strong connection to this community. Alexander says, “I am pleased to see my vision being shared by others. In the Sunday April 30th addition of the Press-Enterprise, there was a section called, Dissolving Gridlock, it was a glimpse of our future highways; it is also my vision. The illustration, created by Albert Corona, Maggie Delbon and Chris Ramos, paints a vivid picture of our near future; it is now hanging on my wall.”
