VIDEO: Protest at Ford Motors' Dealership

WEST LOS ANGELES, April 19, 2006 - Anti-war and environmental activists joined forces today in a protest that targeted a Ford Motor Dealership in West LA. At issue is Ford Motors’ role in contributing to global warming and the current oil wars in the Middle East, Africa, and elsewhere. Uploaded is video from the protest. Two of the protesters chained themselves to an oil barrel and then chained the barrel to the railing on the dealerships lot in an act of civil disobedience. They were both arrested and charged with trespassing. They were released later that afternoon. The event was organized by CodePink LA, and the Rainforest Action Network.
