Leo Di Capprio, Vin Diesel, and Hue Heffner may not be aware that they are contributing to a racist establishment. Apparently if you’re Hispanic the Ivar doesn’t want your business. The Staff here was extremely rude and ignorant of discrimination laws in California. We arrived early and my party and I sat on the orange couches near the dance floor. We were purchasing drinks as we occupied the table with other patrons around who were just sitting down and not necessarily buying drinks. We had just received our second round of drinks from the waitress when we were singled out by a staff member who informed us that the table had been bought. My friend politely asked if we could purchase the table since there had been no Reserve sign on it, he rolled his eyes at her and told her that it was $250.00 she smiled and asked why do you assume we are not willing to purchase the table? He told her if she had a complaint to talk to the manager. We simply wanted an answer as to why seeing that we were the only Latinos there, were we the ones asked to leave the table while other people sat there talking and not even purchasing drinks continued to just sit there. We spent the rest of the ruined night trying to find an actual manager and when we finally found an owner of the club we felt patronized by him offering us drinks and empty apologies. Needless to say we have no intentions of ever returning to this place and plan to get the message out to as many people as possible that Racism against the Latin American community will not be tolerated!

Man, that sucks.

If I could afford to patronize these clubs in the "new hollywood", I'd boycott the Ivar.

I'm not saying that the old, sleazy hollywood was better. People were sometimes discriminatory back then, too. It's just, when the cover is $5, your expectaions are pretty low too.
