MAY DAY EMERGENCY ALLIES MEETING

by Garment Worker Center Saturday, Apr. 08, 2006 at 3:11 PM

MIWON would like to invite you to a MAY DAY EMERGENCY ALLIES MEETING next Weds., 5-7 pm at the UCLA Downtown Labor Center.

Dear Friends and Allies,
www.garmentworkercenter.org
MIWON would like to invite you to a MAY DAY EMERGENCY ALLIES MEETING
next Weds., 5-7 pm at the UCLA Downtown Labor Center.

As you know, MIWON is a coalition of 5 Los Angeles community groups
organizing for worker empowerment and rights in different ethnic
communities. For 5 years we have organized a march in celebration of
International Workers Day on May 1, advocating for workers rights and
immigrant rights and calling for legalization. This year, due to an
exciting and unprecedented show of force from the immigrant community,
May 1 is going to be an effort much larger than any one coalition or group.

As allies who have marched with MIWON in years past for May Day, we
invite you to march with us this year as we join the rest of the city to
show support for workers rights and immigrant rights in a multi-racial
progressive contigent.

JOIN US in a meeting where we will present and discuss what's being planned.

WEDS, APRIL 12
5-7 pm
UCLA Downtown Labor Center (7th and Park View)

Please call or email to confirm your attendance.

Sounds like SomeThing...

...is hungry for Milk and Apples.

I bet it sleeps in a bed in the house too - even a bed with sheets!

If you're going to take direction from the Communist Party, you should at least do yourselves the favor of
Reading "Animal Farm" (or watching the DVD, as it follows the book fairly accurately).
