The Peace and Freedom Party candidate for California lieutenant governor is proposing a 75 billion dollar plan to revive the American automobile industry and to bring good paying jobs back to California. Unlike the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Phil Angelides and Steve Wesley, Alexander believes California needs a plan and a vision to build California and to help working people.

An ambitious 75 billion dollar plan to revive the struggling American automobile industry, and to bring automobile manufacturing back to California, is being proposed by Stewart Alexander, the Peace and Freedom Party candidate for lieutenant governor.

Stewart Alexander’s multi-billion dollar proposal is a ten year plan that would bring General Motors and Ford plants back to California along with good paying jobs.

Within the next three years Alexander wants the development and manufacturing of a vehicle that he identifies as the “American Commuter.” This would be a compact electric vehicle with seating capacity for four, with charging stations from home, to work, to the grocery store. Debit card and power charging outlets would be in all public facilities and charging outlets would be available for every home and place of employment.

The technology is not new; it has been around for decades. Alexander got the idea in 1992 while visiting a research and development facility for electric vehicles in San Dimas, California. Around that same time Alexander saw this technology in use at the A.Q.M.D., in Diamond Bar, California, while working part time as a marketing executive for the Diamond Bar Chamber of Commerce.

“I was very impressed and was convinced this is where we should be going, as a nation, to clean our air and to protect our environment,” says Alexander.

Unlike Schwarzenegger, Wesley and Angelides, who lack a vision, and want to invest in business-as-usual in California, Alexander wants to invest in our people and economy. Presently Schwarzenegger wants to invest in more courts, jails and prisons to houses the unemployed.

Alexander’s vision is three fold; it would be a series of bonds proposals to create jobs and opportunities for investments, it would help to clean our air and environment, and it will help the U.S. automobile industry.

In the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s General Motors and Ford provided good jobs and a good source of income for thousands of Californians. Alexander wants to bring these two companies back to California and make it a friendlier state to conduct business.

Alexander has worked in the automobile industry since the 80’s as an automobile sales consultant and seeks to boost the U.S. automobile industry in production and sales starting in California.
