Santa Monica, Sunday, March 19, eighty people marched with Fernando Suarez Del Solar from the Federal Building in Westwood to the Arlington West Memorial at the Santa Monica Pier. There, Mr. Suarez, Mrs. Castro, and others, in front of many cameras, checked some of the 2,317 crosses set up on the beach, in honor of the U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq.

During the interviews given to the press, Mr. Suarez denounced the Bush administration criminal war in Iraq, the government aggressive recruitment tactics in Latino and African American communities, and in poor neighborhoods. Also Mr. Suarez talked about the possible U.S. “preemptive” strike against Iran.

Mr. Suarez said that the war has killed the dreams of his son and of thousands of young Americans, and Iraqis, and the principal responsible for all the dead is George W. Bush, “el terrorista numero uno.”
