We're asking that activists from all over Southern
California come out this Saturday to help monitor and
demonstrate against the SOS/Minuteman supporters that
are harrassing the day laborers in Lake Forest.
Hello everybody:
We're asking that activists from all over Southern
California come out this Saturday to help monitor and
demonstrate against the SOS/Minuteman supporters that
are harrassing the day laborers in Lake Forest.
Although between 20 and 30 SOS/Minuteman types came
out last Saturday, the day laborers were better
organized and more assertive in defending their
rights. Some of their families came out in support.
In addition to this, several Lake Forest residents,
including a number of young teenagers, told the crowd
of SOS/Minuteman that had assembled to quit bugging
the day laborers and go home.
Activists also kept a close eye on the behavior of
Orange County Sheriff's Deputies who patrolled the
area to ensure they did not trample on the First
Amendment rights of the day laborers.
At a prior demonstration, Sheriff's Deputies allegedly
threatened day laborers and supporters with arrest for
engaging in constitutionally protected activities.
That didn't happen last Saturday.
In fact, Sheriff's Deputies appeared to have been
irked by the fact that SOS/Minuteman supporters kept
calling them up via cellphone asking them to come out
to protect them from non-existent threats.
We're expecting the same number of SOS/Minuteman to be
out in Lake Forest this weekend. So if you can come
and support the day laborers, it would be deeply
appreciated. The more people the better.

I don't know if I should go to the Laguna Beach Charade or Lake Borest. One is lame, the other is , well boring. I guess, I sh/could go and make my presence known, and raise discontent. I hope it rains on the parade.
:)

You mean the Laguna Beach parade tomorrow? On the Minuteman website, Jim Gilchrist called for all Minutemen to not go there. Probably to avoid some legal trouble or something, after losing in the court. That's pretty funny. What if a Minuteman just wanted to go and watch?
If you guys don't want to come to Lake Forest tomorrow, that's fine. Let the day labor workers get their work. Anyone who comes to support them can still interact and form some solidarity with them. I'm sure they won't consider it a wasted trip if no Minutemen are there.
Supporters, keep the corner of El Toro and Muirlands in mind as well. Infact Los Alisos and Jeronimo too. Just incase the Minutemen try to sneak by us and do their thing elsewhere.

"NOTICE TO ALL MINUTEMEN
February 24, 2006
Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, hereby orders that:
All Minutemen of the Minuteman Project, Inc. are barred from attending the Laguna Beach Parade on March 4th, 2006. There shall be no demonstration in or about the Laguna Beach area, until further notice. Any violation of this order will result in the immediate Minuteman membership termination.
Jim Gilchrist"
I guess he has the authority to terminate Border Raven's being a Minuteman if he goes to Laguna. See you in Lake Forest! And try to be nice to Guatemala this time, k?

Hey I just saw mention of this on the OC Register forums and the person who posted had a good point about the lawsuit. Why else would Jim strictly bar his people from going to the parade?

And business went as usual here in Lake Forest. So thanks Minutemen for not showing up. As for Laguna Beach, there's hardly Minutemen there so whatever you did today won't do anything. Business will go as usual.
And yes Naui got hit in the face. That wasn't nice.

I meant you're lucky I wasn't taping.
The construction worker Minuteman guy drove by. I told him about the Stormfront couple. I should be asking Gilchrist about it any moment now.

Just in case some little girls with wounded pride are thinking of anything destructive in response...
Don't forget, that pinhole camera is powered by a 9 volt battery, and can be pretty much anywhere within range of the receiver. In a tree...on top of the house...across the street in a bush.
I'm watching. Hopefully you'll wear a dress when you show up.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Big bad ass Aztlan warrior. Feh.

Okay 1inchbrain, you double posted that elsewhere already. We get it, troll.
I got an email from Ken Mock. He was there and ready to go, but no Minutemen. Aww, you Minutemen really disappoint :-(.
But that's okay, business went as usual if you know what I mean. Pick ups, etc.
