THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary

For Immediate Release – February 24, 2006
EXECUTIVE ORDER 14461
CLARIFING NEW POSITION OF CO-PRESIDENT CHENEY

This order prescribes a proper recognition of Co-President Cheney real position and power. Our democratic principles require that the American people be informed of the activities of their Government. Also, our Nation's progress depends on the the real President being known. Nevertheless, throughout our history, the national interest has required that the real powers that run this great country be kept secret and that certain information be kept in confidence in order to protect our citizens, our democratic institutions, and our participation within the community of nations. Protecting information critical to our Nation's security remains a priority. In recent years, however, dramatic changes have altered, although not eliminated, the national security threats that we confront. These changes provide a greater opportunity to emphasize our commitment to open Government so we can now tell you who our real President is.
NOW, THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as show-President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered as follows:

To reflect his proper position and power Dick Cheney is to drop the title Vice-President and to assume his new title of Co-President.

His rank, in that position, regardless of that scrap of paper The Constitution, will be foremost and will outrank myself as I am a bit of a drunk and dope-head and anyway Dick say he will do a Harry on me if I don’t.

GEORGE W. BUSH
THE WHITE HOUSE,
