I am opposed to the death penalty too but at least be honest about the facts.
The guy isn't just a 76 year old disabled Choctaw Indian in a wheelchair. He's responsible for the deaths of at least 4 young adults under the age of 20.
He was serving a life sentence for one murder and while behind bars arranged the killings of 3 others. He's on death row for the 3 killings not specifically for the first one.
I oppose the death penalty but I think it's disingenuous to mention certain details of the case and leave out others. If he was a 45 year old white male in good health would you still oppose his execution?

Why don't you all get the issue on the ballot and vote to have end state executions?
The death penalty has not been effective as a deterrent to murder. The death penalty shouldn't be a deterrent but a consequence in my book.
I only favor the death penalty for child molesters and in cases where there is 100% proof of guilt, like reliable eyewitnesses, otherwise give them life without parole.

The main reason the death penalty isn't a deterrence is because it takes forever. Appeals, etc.. can eat up decades. Appeals are a good thing, but in cases where there is absolutely no doubt about a persons guilt, in a court specifically designed for these cases, justice would be rendered much faster. That said, for many killers here is no such thing as a deterrent, no matter what the court system does.
