Isn't it odd the subject flashlight has not been found?
Come on folks, if you were there that night, and picked up the flashlight, no matter who's side of this you are on, please stop wasting the tax payer dollars on this trial.
If you live in the area, get on the street, with signs or post a WANTED picture of the flashlight, in question.
The city of Garden Grove should put up a reward for the flashlight or any information leading to its safe return to the cop who lost it.
Heck, the damned F*****G flashlight, may have dropped in a vehicle or into a storm drain.
Has anyone called in the Orange County Crime Scene Investigations, to determine the circumstances related to the disappearance of the flashlight? No trace evidence, or fibers, or skin or fingernails? Not even an eyelash, for DNA? No ransom note? Has no messenger brought in in the bulb or battery to prove they had the flashlight?
OH MY we just cannot waste time and money on such trivial things.
What is the make an model of the flashlight? I'll take up a collection and we can buy the city a new one.
We elect our governments to make wise decisions, and spend our taxpayer dollars wisely, not to waste time and labor, in such a manner.
Is the DA up for reelection? How will prosecuting the case of a missing flashlight, win him/her a reelection?
Are we a police state, yet?
