Cleon (Cleon42@yahoo.com) at Atlanta IMC and CAG at Chicago Indymedia both censored the 11/27/05 blog. Cleon removes the blog without explanation. Chicago IMC hid the 11/27 blog, citing "other" as its explanation. So far Chi IMC refuses to respond to polite inquiries from NJS asking to elaborate further.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia, Portland and New York IMC continue to monitor each and every post that reaches their newswire. Philadelphia didn't have this procedure until recently. This suggests that Philly IMC is implementing the new policy to prevent their audience from reading this blog.
Where do the New York, Philly and Portland "collectives" find the time to dedicate themselves 24/7 to suppressing this news blog? (btw, the US spends tens of billions on Homeland Security annually.)
Indymedia has been prominant at every significant anti-war, anti-globalization demonstration since 1998. At these demonstrations they convince new activists that their network of sites supports free speech. However, should someone try to post a news blog that contains information, commentary and images on Indymedia sites and IMC editors go to great lengths to violate their stated goals with extreme prejudice.
