The San Gabriel Valley Tribune printed an article about the so-called "Friends of the Border Patrol" which didn't address the salient issues.

Activists might consider sending a note to Ruby Gonzales, the author of the article at ruby.gonzales@sgvn.com or telephone to speak with him at (626) 962-8811, Ext. 2718 to express your opinions.

Nothing in the article even touches upon the alleged intermixing of individuals with known alleged white supremacists groups, nor is there any mention of the self-proclaimed "Save Our State," "Minutemen," "National Alliance," "National Vanguard," or "Storm Front."

The article's author attempts to paint these "Friends of the Border Patrol" as if they were good, model, upright citizens and as if their names and photographs haven't been allegedly tracked and exposed by anti-hate activists on la.indymedia.org and sandiego.indymedia.org from time to time.

It's important to underscore the fact that many -- or maybe even most -- of the "Friends of the Border Patrol" and "Save Our State" and "Minutemen" honestly don't believe they share the same ideologies as their more blatant colleagues who self-identify as "National Alliance," "National Vanguard," and "Storm Front."

But it's irresponsible not to mention the alleged mixing and what appears to be the virtually incestious cross polination, the Nazi and Confederate flags being waved on street corners and sidewalks, and the photographs that show these individuals standing side by side, shoulder to shoulder even as some of them -- maybe even most of them -- demand the others are "uninvited."

My opinions only and only my opinions -- and my opinions may be inaccurate or even wrong. Use your own head and commen sense, as always, when evaluating who these people are and what they actually stand for. Don't take mine or anybody else's opinions for granted.
