I think you're giving scum more credit and legitimacy than they deserve. If anyone actually _believed_ such outrageous claims, then maybe it would be worth while exposing them and demanding a retraction that you know damn well won't be coming forth.
One thing you might consider doing is issueing a Press Release through pressbox.co.uk -- not demanding a retraction but covering Gilchrist's alliances and history in Southern California. Keep it accurate, keep it falsifiable, keep it legitimately, undeniably truthful, and urge newspapers in SoCal to pick up the press release and carry it. And within your Press Release, note what the individual said, underscore the illegitimacy of his hate, and note that SoCal citizens don't share his ideologies.
In other words, love your enemies, even if they're people like Gilchrist.
Some of the amusing things that are said about me in public, on hate web sites and such are laughably equal to the absurd claim that you've advocated murder of old ladies. I mean that's just so funny, who the Hell would believe it?
In fact, who the Hell believes _any_ Republican?
My opinion on things, and solely my own.
I demand an apology from the "lady" (I use that term very loosley) that flipped me off when I took her pic at the John and Ken debate.
I sent the photo to Bea asking her if she was proud of her supporters.
Duane, seems like you are not very talkative when the camera is in YOUR FACE!!!!
What gives riot starter?
I was there when you were given the middle finger. It was a response to your apparent attempts to harass and intimidate Green party people who were present. Your actions were perceived as unfriendy, thus the response.
I was also photographed repeatedly upon orders of Mr. Gilchrist, who is very angry that I have asked him to substantiate unfounded charges of "attempted murder" and "terrorism" against the GP, not to mention that fact that he said that he voted for Green Party candidate Peter Camejo, supports "redistribution of the wealth," and "revolution"--and, even more interesting, that he did not necessarily want to actively deport undocumented Mexicans now in the USA and was considering a "hybrid amnesty."
By the way, Mr. Gilchrist has admitted elsewhere as well (www.ocweekly.com) that half the time he is conservative and the other half he is a "wacko lefty." He also supported the demonstrators at Seattle (in my interview) and (in the Weekly) lashes out against "capitalistic pigs."
Mr. Gilchrist doesn't want this information to get to his supporters who think of him as their god chosen hero. He must reamain "pure" in their eyes. Nor do his inner circle of supporters want to know about his political and personal constraditions. They are not prone to accepting any truths except their own "absolute" truths.
