My name is Sherry Lackey and I am writing in regards to the 3-strike law here in Callifornia, which is reaaly an out of hand law. The 667 law was intended to put repeated violent and serious offenders in prison! Not people whom have a third strike for petty theft with a prior, controlled substances,prostitution, people under the influence, second degree burglary which is the exact same thing as petty theft.
I suffered from the bstrike law and if I woul've just sat in prison and let the time do me instead of going to the Law Library I would have been more money for the state of California, but instead I am free today and I plan on pursuing a lawsuit against the state of California and I also plan to become a advocate for the serving time in prison for non-violent and non-serious crimes.
