LA is a crime troubled city with not enough unbiased eyes watching.
The need for more street mounted surveillance cameras in Los Angeles has never been more evident. Surveillance devices capable of tracking gunshots and listening in on drug dealers conversations while watching their every move would help rid this city of the current crime wave.
I think the need for more street mounted surveillance cameras in this town has never been more evident. It would aid in keeping both sides fair and balanced with their actions. In the times we live in it is imperative to have adequate safeguards for the community. When I look back in time to a simpler period it was easier for law enforcement and the community to keep on eye out on the streets. With today's population and mobility cameras could aid both police and the citizen of Los Angeles.
I'm writing this message in a public for to hear both the people that are for and against a community camera project. Additionally I implore the mayor of Los Angeles to seriously look at the idea of having a public camera policing effort.
As we all know there have been some incidents that ... happen in front of the cameras, and we were able to go back and ... really get to the truth of the matter. It has helped on conflicting stories.
We want safe streets. That is the ultimate goal, citizens, teachers, as well as parents, want for children and all adults to be safe in this city. Surveillance stations are needed to help fight crime and terrorism while providing an unbiased account of events.

The crimes by individuals are minuscule when compared to the crimes committed by the state.
More cameras means more crime. Not less.

We all know what happens to the video under state control. What ever they want, even if it means total fabrication like the released 'still' of the four London Bombed.

The heinous sex crimes and street crimes committed in this city could be radically curbed if we had video cameras in more areas. They are much cheaper than police officers, and as the Mr. Doeser said, they are unbiased.

I'd like them in the board rooms of corporations where the real crime go on. Or in the closed door sessions of the 'government'. Hmmm come to think of it they could be the same place. I think everyone should be able to watch whomever they want at any time. anywhere. No privacy for one means no privacy for all! We could open public watch rooms, like libraries, where one could ( and should! ) be able to 'dial in' anyone they want to at any time they wished. Great idea.

video survellance is spreading across LA: http://www.downtownnews.com/articles/2005/09/12/news/news02.txt Don't scratch that itch in public, 'cause an otherwise-bored LAPD oaf is gonna laugh with his buddy about it over a beer.
