speakers and political performers reflect on 911 and Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

Asiatic Empire presents an all day forum (1PM-9PM) on 911 and the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan on Saturday, Sept 10, 2005 in Koreatown, LA at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. This event, called K-Town 9-1-1, is free and open to the public and will feature speakers such as Fidel Rodriguez, Sonali Kolhatkur, Mindullae/One Korea, Committee for Justice to Defend the LA 8, Labor Community Strategy Center, Ami Motavelli, Answer LA, South Asian Network, Pilipino Workers Center, Veterans for Peace, and many more. Performers include a multi-racial array of some of the most talented MCs and poets with a social or political message. The purpose of K-Town 9-1-1 is to reflect on the tragedy of 911 and to put 911 into perspective against the current U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
