Last night at the Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center, Mike Ruppert gave a lively presentation to a packed audience about peak oil, global domination and the "inevitable" crash of the American economy. The presentation went on for approximately 3 hrs and ended with a 30 minute Q&A session after a brief intermission. The last few minutes of the presentation is missing (sorry) because I ran out of tape.

It seems that swaggering Mike knew straight away too, because on sept 13, 2001 he was already spinning to try to cover it up.

He wrote an article claiming that he was already satisfied that the WTC was not demolished.

Isn't is strange that he should rush so quickly to this conclusion and go to the trouble of publishing an article about it, when by that time, while a few people might have been wondering about the miraculous collapse and throwing around a few ideas on it, it hadn't really become an issue at that stage?

It seems that Mike had already realized that this was going to be a problem for the govt, and was in such a rush to get the counter spin out that he pre-empted what he was spinning against.

In the article Ruppert told a straight out lie to make it look as if he had documentation to support his claim.

He claimed that his opinion was based upon

"a detailed review of an interview with a NY architect who is expert on high rise construction "

However, this this was a total fabrication. He provided no more detail, and no links. Who was the architect ? Who wrote the review ? What specifically did the architect claim ?

And more than year later I challenged Ruppert over this article and repeatedly demanded to know the source of this claim. While managing to find the time and energy to threaten me and others with a lawsuit, he refused to all demands to provide any more details. Which means that the alleged document didn't exist.

Not content with fabricating implications of non exitent documents, swaggering Mike was happy to use others which told straight out lies.

After his allusion to the imaginary review he went on

"and upon today's BBC story which I have linked at the bottom of this page "

This is the notorious BBC story of Sept 13 2001, which informed us that temperatures of up to 800c would have melted the steel in the building.

Now, it's forgiveable if MR didn;t know the melting point of steel on Sept 13 2001 and barely forgiveable that he never bothered to check before shooting off his mouth in quoting this piece of trash as a credible source, but you would have thought that more than a year later, with people ramming it down his throat day after day, that the melting point of steel is about double this, that Swaggering Mike might have learned something by the time we confronted him about it.

Heh ! In your dreams ! Thundering that the demolition advocates were spouting "bullshit" and ordering them imperiously to "get out of the way of people who are doing something " (like fabricating sources to lie for the govt), Ruppert wriggled and twisted and turned on this point, eventually pleading that the great one was too busy to research the melting point of steel and that he would do it when he had time.

Too busy ? It took me ten minutes on google to find multiple sources with which I eventually embarrassed him by posting them to the list on which this circus took place.

If I want to hear crap like this, I can go down the pub and at least be spared the added annoyance of the dickhead spouting it also claiming to be the world's greatest researcher and then threatening me with a law suit for proving that he lying.

But the great man got such a hammering from the list, that in the end even his splendid magnificence had to relent and posted an article apologizing for his mistake about the melting steel, and after a brief admission that the towers were demolished after all, launching straight into another thundering sermon about how physical evidence was a waste of time , and that only the great one with his meticulous standards of sourcing and verification could prove the case.

It seems that this proof is still buried in the vaults of the Michael C. Vreeland Institute for shallow spin and fabricated sources.

Then Mike informed us that it was pointless trying to expose the truth about S11 anyway, and sneered at the "newly awakened voices" of opposition.
